Apparently a lot harder than expected. Some of you may want to put your drinks down and make sure you have nothing breakable within reach before viewing.

    Formerly Ultimatum.

See, this is what happens when you don't brush your teeth kids. That is one bad case of toothache.

You missed out the middle picture which showed it in a really bad state before the botched job. Wonder what they'll do now.

I laughed so hard just at the expression in the changed version. Just picturing a crazy old woman "I'm gonna fix that shit. I don't know how to paint but how hard can it be".

I like how she didn't bother to ask too. "I'll surprise them!"

Maybe the vicar said something about Passover, and her 80 year old ears heard "paint-over".

Apocalypse is the church's bread and butter...they should just turn lemons into lemonade and stir up irrational hysteria about the impending Ape-ocalypse portended by this paintover.

A lot of those old masters, such as Jean-Léon Gérôme, used painting techniques like Verdaccio and Piambura.....if you don't know what that is, then it's no wonder why people don't know how to restore paintings.
