I have no idea what I'm doing but at least I'm making all of the shots, using reference for the mountains and trees mainly for now.

Would love some help with this one.

MeteorCat: Sometimes not knowing what your doing initially is a great way to generate ideas, without having preconcieved thoughts you tend to run into 'happy accidents' as people call them.
I think you should try experimenting with different perspective angles, how would it look at ground level looking up at the giants, creating better scale and more dynamics?
Art is not about competing against others and being better than everyone else, but it is about competing against yourself and discovering your greatest potential!

I'd love to try something like that but I'm not sure I am skilled enough to draw all these complex perspective angles just yet. I only recently got into the hang of perspective thanks to Matt Kohr from CtrlPaint.com.

Nonetheless, thanks for the advice I'll see what I can do

Great theme Askel. Makes me think of the fog you get rolling in off the mountains here sometimes, and how things look silhouetted and blurry in the distance, completely changes the feeling of the landscape. I've done this quick matte painting to try get my ideas down on paper, and I'm going to use this as a base for the rest of the painting, if that's allowed? Start with this as the base layer, and then paint over it. This is about 50% final size.

Still struggling along with this idea. Might completely paintover all of it in the next step, and then add the fog at the end, it's being a bit of a pain.

EDIT: You can only really see the changes when switching layers on and off. Here's a .gif of that, so you can see what changed.

Remember 'giants' can be whatever you want as long as it is gigantic. Topic is open so go for whatever.

Guess I'm pretty much done except for a few fixes here and there.
