    Art and Mary Jane

Hi I've recently got to know a fellow artist who claims that using drug products made from Cannabis helps creativity in art.
Although I do not strictly oppose it, I do not intend to become a user of the stuff myself (my mind is an interesting place without drugs as it is ) and I have to wonder how many people here feel like they owe their talent to that so-called creativity drug?

Even the most avid drug users in artists typically produce most of their artwork sober. I've experimented with creating on various drugs, with mixed results. But even the best art I can create when high isn't as good when I'm sober. I'd rather draw upon the drug experience for inspiration, to look back upon it when creating my pieces once I'm sober.

Drawing and slowly smoking a spliff is nice.
Doing loads of boring money work and smoking a spliff is fine.

If you want a really intense drug experience, get some salvia, its legal, you smoke it in a bong and go off on a 5 minute trip round the universe. its fucking crazy.

Actually some of the drawings I've made on LSD have been, although "different," superior in many ways to the ones I've done sober.

Alex Grey painted this while under the influence of Ayahuasca, and he did another painting on Ayahuasca that was even more amazing but I can't find it anywhere online.

Edit, actually I think it was this one:
