Cyberpunk protagonist things! Used my own face. Heavily influenced by Deus Ex D:

One hour study!

A little update on that last sketch
![]()
I really like that 1hr foot study. Good job! =]
Hey thanks man!
Little warmup. Having a hard time dividing the planes. Values are all over the place!
![]()
Doing mighty fine in here man, just wanted to drop by and show my support!
I think you nailed the problem with the latest enviro. Do you start with grayscale?
That usually helps me, to focus only on values before going to color.
really nicceeee work on that, umm, foot...study( that sounded crass). I wonder if there's a better term for studies of feet. Anyways, i digress, a lot, some of those toes looked abit like conjoined twins. I did love the colouring. Work on your brushing (texturing and messy strokes). Umm, Also, saturation on your colours can be abit too strong on the darkest parts. Try to lift them up

If i don't reply to questions on others sketchbooks, send me a message. I'm very scatterbrained
Flaskpost Thanks for the support man, keeps me going!
I think that I made a step in the right direction atleast. No I didn't, tried starting with color this time! Yeah it usually do it aswell but I think that I'm lacking a lot of clear shapes and planes in my environment pieces. I should work on it!
LoudLikeNature Thanks, now when you've mentioned it, I can't stop seeing the conjoined toes! Haha we'll call it Monopedal Observation, or bipedal if you're bold and heroic. Yeah I tend to go really dark still. I will, thank you for pointing it out!
Took a break from the computer screen yesterday. Found a skull and observed it for a while, kinda fun painting with aquarelle in your sketchbook. Also did a still life this morning, the coffe is cold though. Not worth it.

Tried only using a hardbrush on the study (above) and then applying it with some imagination sparks(middle)! These are pretty experimental and since I hate using hardbrushes, I should probably do something along these lines more. Then I drew something very simple trying to grasp what it is that I want to learn, which is seperating the values according to depth and planes. Felt liberating doing these things.

More simple stuff

A bipedal observation, because foot/feet-study sounds so medieval! Used an even more textured brush. Hopefully it doesn't look like conjoined toes this time around. But I bet that it does.

nice studies! I personally am not a fan of the textured look to the bottom image-- really makes your edges look strange. I would try to use it for making brushstrokes on the inner parts of the forms as opposed to their edges.
can't wait to see more (:
I really like it how you've started to try out different brushes, though you should try even more varied brushes and create some new ones too.
(Should do that myself too). Also try to pay more attention to edges. Like in this latest feet study the outlines are too crispy looking now. But good skin tones.
Nice looking studies overall and it's good to see you are working hard and doing stuff from imagination too. Keep it up!
Dirgeance Thank you! I understad and I don't think that I like the edges myself, almost look like aquarelle on wet paper haha. But it was a nice brush to play around with, couldn't really do major details.
Me neither, thanks for stopping by!
Satu Thanks, it feels quite refreshing! Yeah I've been wanting to do that, but the ones that I make are utterly useless haha! Yeah I agree, they didn't come out very good and I'll definitely keep that in mind.
Thank you! I try to vary it a lot, mostly because I can't decide what to focus on
A quick and simple warmup, plus a screencap from Blade Runner. Gaff is the man.

Played around a bit today. That text is so poorly written that I cringe. I'm sorry for your eyes.

Morning study, value with a new textured brush. Following some advice from Satu.

Morning sketch, trying to lineart more.

Nice studies, I like the variation you are doing.
The feet studies came out well too. Though as with the other studies and your
work in general, there should be more definition/ more hard lines. Look for the
edges and where bone meets skin.
Cheers![]()
BlackDelphin Heya Delphin! Thanks for dropping by again. Your last comment really helped me level up a bit!
I agree with your critique and I'll try to be more aware of it from now on. Not quite sure on how to go forth and study it though!
Not really happy with how I draw / think of eyes, so I'm going to try and do around 100 of these within a month. Going to mix studies with imagination here. We'll see how it goes!

Will probably finish this weeks ChoW, felt like ages ago that I participated. Here's the initial sketch and some progress.
And more eyes from my study-project. Feels like I'm learning something, and as said, I'm mixing imagination with reference here! I should probably mark them out later durp!

Hardedges and architecture!

Some nice stuffs here. I would recommend focusing on colour theory. This will help you produce more eye catching images and should take your art work to the next level.
phoenicorn Thanks man will definitely do that! Though I think it will come with more practice.
Hard edged study from real life

Started up the Snow White project again. Here are some dwarves! Tried coming up with some classes for them, making 'em some sort of cool mining team!
