    A Terrifying Sketchbook

This sketchbook will be where I compile beasties, monsters, and other horrible designs, as well as general studies for fun and personal advancement.

Great line art. You sure do know your anatomy, I especially like the way you created the muscle and bone structure for your character concept. Keep up the good work.

Thanks a lot for all of the feedback, guys! Here are some more recent works; some value studies and a couple of creatures! My skills with PS outside of sketching are pretty lacking. These have been helping tonnes though.

Very good studies, bro! But I've told you that a million times. ;D

I'm liking that you're doing more people, but I thought I should suggest something that may help.

The nose is flat compared to the rest of the person and doesn't really suggest depth like the rest of the body does. Seems as though it was somewhat etched in clay instead of really formed, if that makes sense? Maybe doing some solitary nose studies from different angles like you did the shapes above would help you get comfortable with getting that sense of dimension? Hope that helps!

And if you need me to redline, feel free to pop me the photo and I'll see what I can do.

I need to remember to log in more!

Mr.Ebony, thanks for the feedback! I do have a fair number of troubles with human faces, especially with the nose, of all things. Doing solitary studies sounds like a great idea, but I think I will try a few more full-face portraits first.

Some recent and not as recent work! Studies, designs, and things for fun. The hyena studies were a part of a character design experiment, the end goal was a character design that was still identifiable as a spotted hyena, but still unique (re: different from something like the Lion King). Below that is an idea for a carnivorous birch tree, expansion on the centuarian creatures introduced above, and some fun with a Badnik from the Sonic series (the Tails Doll). Until next time!

Oh oh! This is a good start! I'm loving that strange take on centaurs there, they're beautiful looking in a macabre way.
That take on that cursed tail's doll is hilarious too, atleast I'd beable to understand the hype about it if it looked like /that/. ahaha
Anyways, no crits I'm afraid. Just wanted to chuck in some praise. hope to see more soon!

WHOOPS, forgot entirely about my thread here! I'm more accustomed to tossing all of my ridiculous work to Tumblr; I still need to build greater familiarity with CA.org. Irregardless, have some recent work from the... past few months (woah).

First two sets are some studies of animation cells from Treasure Planet. I started to lose focus by the last cell of the second batch, hence Silver bizarrely growing in size and throwing off the composition. The Moleskine doodles were from a trip to Rome. I wasn't able to do any sittings in front of any pieces, any studies I was able to do were from photo. The grand majority of what I drew were attempts to keep myself amused on the latter half of the trip, where we were stuck on a boat (also showcasing my incredible inability to draw human faces, yeah). The last few pieces were just me having fun with Pokemon and tacking a crack at interpreting the Knuckelavee. Still learning digital painting.

    Until next time!

Whoops again, I should have included these, too. More attempts / experiments with digital art / painting. All expecting the last piece (stylised interpretation of Metal Sonic) are personal species.

RIGHT, I haven't been here since November (though to be fair I haven't been creating much that'd be worth sharing), about time I dusted this thread off, I think.

Studies of people and weapons, the result of someone challenging me to draw a Sparkledog (and me promptly losing interest halfway through colouring), a machine that probably could have been ripped out of the Matrix, and personal farting about. Lots of Pokemon as that's become my preferred method of winding down at the end of the day. Enjoy!
