hey cool stuff man, try to use more saturated colors next time, everything's looking a bit too gray overall. And try to use bigger brushes! All the small brush strokes can make it look a bit unfinished and muddy.

    dude yes!
its been quite a while since ive showed up here, sorry.
nice going on the digitals! noice colors!
remeber to use darker tones in a few places(the forest piece), it would really bring life to the piece.

excellent, the first B&W on this page is awesome and the rest are good too. Looks like you're just letting loose and painting! And the track your on shows that all you have to do is just keep practicing like this until your art looks the way you want it to. Look to your inspirations and artists you like, work towards that level and you'll get there. If all of this gets too overwhelming or it seems like you're not making progress... SPECIFY and NARROW DOWN what you need to work on, I mean localize your practice sessions to working on smaller things, otherwise keep at this, very nice work.

thanks guys! and eternalapprentice: i could probably do it better in pencil, i just got lazy and threw random brush strokes down haha, now that i look at it on a different screen im like wtf @.@

shahan: its been a while man, yeah ive been doing more stuff but i just upload the stuff that seems worthwhile, anyways i actually just watched about half of a fengzhu video (before and after,59) and realized that im just trying to get the muscle memory for that particular pose, or that particular apple, etc... but how exactly can i study so that i dont need to start over everytime i do something? how do i study so that i keep things consistent im talking about the core fundamentals, its just something that im thinking about, i want to stop having to rely on luck for something to come out nice

really love your pen sketches! Pens really make you think about which lines are absolutely essential in a drawing, so I think it's good that you do some pen studies. Sketchbook looks nice so far, keep on pushing!

Latest painting has good depth in the woods and the sketch looks awesome. Colors are kind of flat/muted, though.
