ConceptArt.Org is headed to a whole new server system and updating.

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to update everyone on the site progress. We have some great things happening now, after quite a long year of struggles. In the 12 months we have had to deal with some serious hack attempts (some more successful than others), code that is constantly on the mend, and other issues with the site, some which are obvious, others less so.

After much effort, research and planning, we have made the decision to purchase a host of new state of the art servers for the community and are updating all of the code site wide. What this means is we are switching to the cloud and will have top of the line systems from which we can grow and build. As the site data will be on cloud servers around the world, the site load times and access will improve for the better. The new code base will finally enable us to move forward. We are implementing the new forums, long promised batch uploader and a host of server security measures which will help us keep the site from being broken by hack attempts, or having us inundated with spam.

It is going to take about two weeks to get everything done with this initial change and update/upgrade. We will keep everyone updated too.

Thanks for all the patience. We have some exciting things happening and there will be a lot more news to come.

Regarding the bugs of late...please do hang in there. Things are already on the move.

Nice one, Jason. I hope the changes bring some peace of mind, it must be infuriating to have to deal with so much crap that aims to scuttle, rather than support. Keep up the great work, everyone appreciates it (even if they're too shy to admit it). It's still the number one site around.
I have just one modest request for the upgrade - could we have a new image attachment, so that multiple images can be added in one fell swoop?
