here are some of my pics... let me know what u think
can anyone help me? looking for friends to check out my stuff and critique it... any advice would be appreciated!
nice start, you seem to be good with shading and linework, but certain anatomical parts look a little off for example the shoulders of the cowyboy. have you studied anatomy before? if not give it a go.
You can add me as a friend if you want.
Just draw from life, outside, inside, draw things you think are hard.
Thanks friends... i guess it never hurts to go back to the basics or fundamentals to get a better perspective like the human body and such... as well as trying different avenues to approach new ideas and themes for future drawings.
I value practically everyone on here as being talented artists... and as i make my way around to check out everyone's work, i realize that everyone has different styles and media applications... and i am curious to what kind of purpose or skill set mine would be. So as a person who is fresh at showing my work... can anyone tell me what my type of art would be good for???? and if nothing, what should i try?
Don't settle on your "type" of art. Develop a critical eye and always ask yourself what you should be getting better at. Draw stuff you like from imagination and study from life, you can make it anywhere as long as you work hard. Also, check out more advanced peoples sketchbooks and how they got there, pay attention to the crits and apply them to your own work. As long as you're posting, and trying to correct yourself, there will be people here to help you out and give you crits. Good luck, and have fun.
Thanks friend, I will work on trying out different things, especially stuff i need to work on... for now i might post some older material to kinda show how i started, and will work on more fresh material soon.
Here is a recent design i created... let me know what you think!

Looking good,
Though i don't get the shading you do, it looks like you could use some more practice on shading, crosshatch could be nice.
I sugggest you don't use your eraser for doing the shading,
But anyways, Keep it going!
See my latest Sketchbook work!
Feel Free to comment!
some really interesting designs, is it from imagination or reference?
a bit of both really... it all depends what im after when i do my drawings
its ok... i know i can always use work even in areas i feel im strong at. I always use central light directed right on my focal points of my objects to give them a shaded polished look... unless an object is present that is a light source. In which case im working on that, lol.
Here is my latest piece... any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
