Hey Kevin, it's been a while since I last stopped by - nice improvement going here - steady and strong. One thing I can say to watch for is your proportions when it comes to width - maybe it's on purpose but a lot of stuff is very thin feeling and scrunched horizontally. It's basically the opposite of the problem that I have which is to draw stuff too wide. Anyway, much love and keep up the good work!

You have some really nice character designs in here. Keep it up and don't forget about the environments :p I'll keep peeking in here from time to time.

your vehicle sketch has nice shapes and design. ;D just one advice, be more precise with the shapes in perspective. for example the front part has a halftone on one half, which means shape is round, but other half is flat color, which means is flat plane. so the consistency is important : )) keep it up!!

fallenangel-im not sure if i see what you are talking about but ill try and fix it :b
umbravita-well i was going for that scene hair that emo chicks have...maybe i over did it? ill try and fix it!
    tj0ri-thanks mang!
jzhang-thanks for the advice...im a wreck when it comes to environments -_-
kungfoowiz-not sure what anatomy study you are talking about? thanks for commenting anyways :b
lightship69-nice that you stopped by here again! thanks for the good words man!
luthertaylor-thanks! sure man it would be cool if you showed me what you meant with a drawing...and yeah i see what you mean with the tendons on the hand...maybe ill fix it but since it isn't a major flaw to the design idk maybe ill just leave it as is and not do it next time :b
lionheartgfx-thanks! what do you mean by how they are?

so i came back to this portrait for a little update...i cleaned it up a bit and re did the hair...it could be better but since i absolutely hate hair im not totally unsatisfied :b i would want to go way more into detail but the original image is only about 500 pixels so not much to work with...so i dont think ill come back to this again...done for good! :b

GREAT colours. This has really come together, you've used your strengths in your lovely stylistic colouring and here it has worked 100%. A really really fantastic piece!!! I would consider going back to this piece and putting those all important finishing touches and perhaps instead of avoiding hair, you should tackle the problem head on.

I think it has worked because you have used the values as well as chroma to the colour choices in order to communicate the form and 3d shapes. Does that make sense?

Consider this on your next works, ask yourself questions about the colour ie how saturated is it and how dark is it and how cool is the the colour? Sometimes just the saturation of a colour can be used to emphasise the change along a plane. As soon as you arrive at a new plane when shading/colouring your form, you must figure out what the change is, value, tone (warm/cool) or saturation (chroma).

When you have a photo ref you clearly understand this sense of thinking and apply it very well but now you must understand why colour is effecting the objects in such way, so that when you are shading and colouring your concepts, you can apply this theory and make them come just as alive.

Well done of course, your work is spectacular and has a wonderful style and it is far better than what I could achieve at this moment in time.

Hope this helps and I'm making sense.

Hugging and holding tight to your dreams is what you are doing
at this moment, and what you did before. The building got full of admirers and the temperature
is just right to feel the heat. Caliente impressions and understanding of focused molecular adjustments.
You pushed the technical and emotional side of your creations at the same time. Steamed windows,
and majestic flowers covered in a bucket with a blanket. I truly feel the energy of your concepts
and the vibrant radiation of your every artistic move. Feeling like a little kid, I observe your
strong roots, leading back even to the oldest times, maybe even when the oceans were filled with blood.
The disco floor is lit now, and the time for you to perform again is here. Lots of improvements,
action and satisfaction, a full tribe of vegetarian ogres infront of a big decision. You are
calibrating the artistic liberation inflow, in a right and correct manner.

Nice work, especially the faces, and skin tones.

here's a some critiques, that vehicle looks delightfully dangerous. The seat looks really uncomfortable, you can only seat at a 90 degree angle. If that "engine block?" catches fire, your ass is on fire. Hope you don't get on a head-on collision. that transmission or engine block crush your head in.

    I hope I didn't come off as a prick.

For reason, I feel like watching Top Gear.

Cool sketchbook. I agree with what everyone's said on here. Especially what flashback said about the vehicle design. It also doesn't look very comfortable to sit in either.

Otherwise, your sketchbook really inspires me. Thanks.

That is one wicked portrait. The colors and rendering is flawless. Its very eye catching.

ALso love the environmental experiments. Great style on those. The rendering on the figures are great, but they look kinda stiff.

The vehicles are looking good. Like how you have approached the latest one. Keep them coming

Thanks for the comment! Nice stuff here, you're getting pretty good at rendering!
I'm not understanding the perspective of that vehicle, the lines on the chair suggest we're looking down at it, but the wing things on the back suggest our eye level would be in the middle of the chair.

You've got a great eye for proportions and rendering - I love the portrait in 373 - I have no idea how to get that smooth shading- it almost looks like porcelain - but I love the look of it.
My only critic would be your work has a rigidity, all your figures are posed stiffly. Don't be afraid to throw down some messy stuff, everything doesn't need to be neat and tidy - you might surprise yourself

    Happy sketching!
