Robot museum. I had two ideas. I liked the idea of having classical architecture and old rusted machines in the same room.

The second:

I remember walking into the lobby of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History when I was little and being in awe of the size of the elephant. It was a feeling of being so small next to such a large animal. I got this same feeling when I saw the dinosaurs too. I wanted this same kind of space.

I think both these ideas can be pushed for more. Thanks for looking

So this ended up bit of a mess (which is why i didn't put any wips, thought the piece was dead) but it kind of works so what the hell. Can't miss my own topic I guess...

I was going for a similar feeling of scale and intimidating size of the robots as everyone else.

I was thinking along the lines of a main atrium or lobby here.

I found it really difficult especially with the combination of perspective and lighting, but I'm glad I tried something that was more technical and ambitious than what I usually do.

They won.
But just before he could subdue the last evil humans, the heroic golden robot got his body plasma'd off. All that was left was his great gold arm.
Now it is preserved for all time in the Louvre, kept exactly as it was when it fell by the loving attention of tireless robot attendants.

lancer, not sure if you've noticed but this Robot Museum EOW was the first in a long time to have a Final Entries thread, so I assumed that:

1. Bnoch meant for his final entry to go to poll, and
2. That he might've not seen the Finals thread notification or decided to adhere to the original final entry process and posted in the main thread.

I've also been known to bypass participant's "final" standards. haha

but yeah, I'm not going to be cutthroat or uber-strict about accepting entries that weren't in the finals thread. It happens.. if anyone has any concerns or criticisms, let me know though. I'll try and adhere to general guidelines.

Great round guys. Just come comments from me and votes..

guilefine - Lovely! If I owned a TV corp I would have this one made into a show. A cross between Jimmy Neutron and I Robot, a teenage mystery series.

bara - Mess or no mess, the perspective and composition in this is rock solid. The boy in the front of the robot displays really sets the tone and "makes" this work. The rustic copper and silver colors create a moody atmosphere which leads me to believe that these weren't the most friendly machines.

audit - That is tiiight. I love "dawn of artificial intelligence" - perfect way to bring authenticity into the museum setting with some personal creativity.

Velocity Kendall - Madness. A dose of realism and just superior art direction. You're the type of artist where 'if your mind can concieve it, your craftiwork can enable it's creation." I don't see a lot of things you can't do, and that's because this was one of those fearless depictions. The bar codes on the wall were a nice addition.

Bnoch - Absolutely raw. You got my vote.

Dayle - W.I.P. status but I put it on the poll because your concept was clear enough, I just think you needed more time to execute the base details. I don't think you needed the red bridge.

Naevea - Cool idea and museum layout, this reminds me of the Joker's hideout at that Gotham Humanity Center theme park (or something like that) from the cartoon movie Batman Phantasm. I got similar vibes.

My votes went to my three top favorites: audit, Velocity Kendall and Bnoch.

But really all you guys deserve the nod. *tips hat*

wow thanks dude!
i sure do enjoy these crazy briefs, the best part is seeing how each person intepreted them differently, and the amazing results.
heres some thoughts from me:

guilefine: effortlessly stylish, and i love the elegant people. i voted.
Bara: lovely composition and lighting, watch out mullins! this also got my vote.
audit: again, a really well made image, and im jonesing to know more about each exhibit, wish i could read those captions! this also got my vote.
Naevea I like the sliced open room exhibit, i think thats a great concept you could take in many intersting directions.
Bnoch: this, audits and guilefines were kind of a three way tie of excellence for me, was couldnt choose my favourite. this is an incredibly intricate and well executed piece of work considering the short timescale, its very impressive.
Dayle: I just got back from Lisbon and this pic totally reminds me of it! It would make an astonishing scultpure garden with the giant man climbing out of the sea, and the huge face slowly sinking into the earth. Nice!
