Have you painted lots of metallic objects from life recently?

I would also look into some more shiny new cars and other showroom images for good references for edge lighting and other such luxuries.
One last thing that I cant seem to reconcile is that looking at the poor boy you could stretch the neck a bit he looks very uncomfortable like that and it seems he has no space for his neck! I think you have tried to make it look like he has his head forward but for me it looks like he has a really small neck, sorry.
all the best with the image though it shows some promise.

@tinybird: yes i do but i dont have the proper environment to light up those to get the kind of shiny effect ... but i will do some fork study though.
@lightship: yes thank you for the showroom study idea. ll probably do a car next to get the lighting and form definition.
For a "shiny" effect I'd say it's enough if you darken your room a bit and light that spoon with a flashlight or a desktop lamp.
What lightship said about edge lighting sounds about right! probably best to see examples of metallic objects from real life using a light source to study would definitely give a good idea I reckon.
Thank you guys for your crits ... I ll be doing some studies as suggested.
well , the neck before the light edge things , the neck is just too short
It gives a funny impression
The shoulders are too close too
I suggest do a simple iron man with cartoon edges and stuff and if you master that , then you can go beyond that.
