    Unhappy Rather Nervous Posting...

Hello! I would love to post to the Sketchbook Forum, but it seems rather intimidating. Pretty much everyone there is extremely dedicated and motivated, and I'm not half of what they are, but I'd still like to get better. I don't have the motivation to draw for 6 or 7 hours daily like they do, and rarely do I have to motivation to sketch for 3 or 4. I have the will and desire to get better, but motivation and inspiration for me is an issue. Should I still post anyway? I feel like I would be disappointing to that forum, but I'd love the help, even if I don't draw as often as the others. Any advice?

You start a SB thread for yourself. NOT others. You get comments, CC, some guidance, and that`s what matters.

Also, why do you take it so seriously? Believe it or not, there are people who take up to art as a hobby. Something they enjoy doing in their free time and when they feel like it. It`s not like you are signing a deal with the devil with your own blood, you know.

Get over yourself, start a SB thread and enjoy art. How much you commit is up to you. Your decision. A right you have as a free individual. Period.

    You build it up.

A lot of people here don't draw daily. You don't have to. If you want to, you build it up, slowly, you don't jump in or you'll burn out quickly. Even just 5-10 minutes a day at first, growing it by 5 mins every week, will make an enormous difference.

Post anyway. You'll get encouragement, and that encouragement will help motivate you. Not everyone here is a professional artist, some people are just hobbyists or dabblers or somewhere in between. There are some people here who post once a month or less -- I only became more active recently myself, before that I came here once every few months or so.

Do what you like. The only person who'll be disappointed if you don't meet your expectations is yourself, and there's no reason why you should be disappointed.
