Port City

really like your portraits! awesome stuff![]()
about the last picture... what an huge ships! but the ledder and steering wheel gives the scale away. it is too large if u compare human size ledder and wheel, those ships and buldings.
it looks like humas should be at least twice as tall as smaller houses.
Fuuucking sweet!
Somelar: you're right! I should definitely pay closer attention to that.
Flaskpost: haha glad you like it

Colour Studies
1.5 hour screencap study, I've got a thing for low key images I think...
and a WIP! I'm trying to incorporate custom shapes for the first time... I find that their graphic simplicity works better (sometimes) for my images than the over-abundance of details from direct photo textures.

Custom shapes are really useful for several resons. First you can size during creation, you can add a clipping mask, and distort them into other shapes. Sparth uses the smudge tool at 100% to create very interesting variations.
The port city looks excellent but the ship looks way too big to make sense.
daym man, you´re owning those colors!
excellent stuff, really enjoyed your portrait paintings
Really great SB! Consider yourself stalked from now on, good sir.

wow, man you got really good. I used to follow your thread but now kinda got absented myself from these forums, I have missed a lot. Your drawings are strong!
P: thanks man, been a while!
some oil portraits from life I did lately
more stuff soon![]()
You're getting really good man! Love all your environments, experiments and studies, such great variety!
Maybe try throwing some more master copies into your schedule instead of just imagination/photos. I find they're the best way to improve on things like colour, design, and edges.

Amazing stuff man! Great character designs, great environments and great illustrationseverything is great. As a critique, I'd say some of your figures look a bit stiff, so maybe work on that. Anyway, awesome sketchbook : P
