Response Evil Tree Studios Design Contest **Prizes**

We apologize for anyone who feels insulted by this. We are a young company who were simply trying to give artist who are having a hard time getting work an opportunity to get looked at. We are open to suggestions as to what we can do to make this more beneficial to people who are interested in something like this. So please if you have positive and sincere suggestions please list them and we will make changes. As far as the legal stuff written, that is stuff that we are required to put up per our lawyers. We were NOT trying to take advantage of anyone or "get art for free". So Once again you have our apologies. So please tell us how we can make this better for you.
    Thank you

I see! Well, at least now I can be sure that when you said, "what do you mean what's the brief?" to me, it's because you genuinely didn't know what I was talking about, as opposed to giving me some sort of a flippant/sarcastic reply.

Well I suppose you should really be specific in what you're looking for. That, 'submit art to us!' thing just...well it just doesn't work.

and prizes? well, you gotta do a lot better than $20, srsly. That's what a lot of beginner-intermediate freelance artists are paid per HOUR. I doubt anyone here's desperate enough to toil away on a piece of art for a chance of getting $20 ...and some other tidbits.

How to not suck at running a t-shirt/merchandise contest:
    - Visit shirt.woot.com, and copy them extensively.
    - Take that $20, and add a couple zeros (no, not $20.00, not Zimbabwe dollars either).
    - In addition, offer a cut of the profits. IIRC, shirt.woot offers $2 for every shirt sold in addition to the prize money.
    - Have a working website
    - Leave the extended legal junk on your website, Instead, put a link at the end saying "legal stuff here".
    - The website should have examples of your previous projects so people can know you're a legitimate company. These projects should actually exist in some verifiable way.
