    Good vibes !

Hey man! Thanks for the super nice comment in my sketchbook!
Improvement is 90% hard work and 10% hating the taste of dissatisfaction.

Also don't worry about improving "fast". Focus on getting quality studies, and the rapid pace will follow on its own. Lets say you have a study that takes you 3 weeks--ok, so it's taking a while, but if you're truly focused and learning during that time, the things you learn will carry with you into the next study and suddenly you'll be making good decisions, quickly, and noticing "fast' improvement. So, focus! Consciously analyze everything you're doing during a study.

You're off to a great start, definitely focus on the basics of simplified shape. I notice in a lot of your anatomy studies, you 're focusing a lot on the torso and fleshing out the details of those muscles, but then your legs and heads just fade into simple lines that aren't the correct shape or proportion. I'd suggest stopping before you flesh out the torso, and start only with the simple shapes of ALL the body parts. This way you can determine right away if the legs or the head are in the right place in relation to what you know best (the torso). Then as you flesh out the torso, the rest of the limbs won't feel like an after thought.

I hope that made sense and wasn't confusing.
Buckle down and do some hardcore studies! You're on the right path!

well this is what i did two nights ago and yesterday i just inmmersed myself in figure studying im getting alot more confident when drawing a pose that little fear when i saw i kinda difficult one is almost gone i have gained the knowledge to tackle quite alot of my usual problems so thats good right?

of course im still a dimwitt in everything else, being color composition linework anything hahaha guess ill just have to draw draw draw and draw

also im gonna quote a bit of an article that made smile and i totally agree with.

"You will achieve greatness only through an enormous amount of hard work over many years. And not just any hard work, but work of a particular type that's demanding and painful"

Gracias por pasarte por el SB! (I'm Spanish too)

Muy muy chulo, keep it up

jajaja gracias dave a mi tambien aveces me cuesta hablar traducir algunos tecnicismos de dibujo que solo se en ingles jajaja

and for everyone else thank you so much for the support, and yes most of my poses are from photographs but im planning some weekly zoo trips to draw people and animals so i have to get my quick drawing poses to the par of the people and especially the animals! ive done this before but i did a terrible job at it so ill try to keep the animals to a minimum and focus on the poeple, ill update tomorrow with all ive done i hope its to your liking and you can see my progress.

Keep up this pace, and you'll be seeing major results in no time. Some things are kind of hard to see, so it may be worth bringing things into an image editing program to adjust the levels and contrast.

It looks like you have the areas of study pretty well covered already. Other than what you're already doing, I'd recommend some in-depth still lifes where you try to get your version to match as close as possible. This will help a lot with realism, color use and control over your tonal range.

hey lionheart .. thanks for the sketchook comments.

You appear to be doing great although you might wanted sharpen your pencil?

Something to try at your current level is a couple of tone studies where you think just in terms of light and shadow rather than line. Would be great for those portraits you have been doing. You need to get reference from a single light source though.

Your figures are looking good so far, if you havent already check out Michael Hampton's book I think it would be right up your street.

For the Bridgmans try not to just copy but apply them to something. Like photo ref or life. Even try and copy and then draw from memory. Anything that keeps you thinking.

Just keep going and have fun!

thanks a lot for your comment, and of course i will check hamptons work, about the values i really have no idea what they are i guess ill start with theory and work my way from there i have read a little and it seems simple enough all that i need is the correct type of practice.

amazing wire frames, nice hard work and studies.

start localizing to smaller parts of the bodies. feet, hands and heads.
develop those more so they're detailed to your liking. then combine with your full figures.
    keep at it
