King of Hell
Design a new ruler of Hell!

DEADLINE: SUNDAY 27th MAY 8PM GMT+1 (9PM British Summer Time)
Check your timezone!

This week we want you to search your darkest side and create a new King of Hell. It's pretty much open to you own interpretation as always, however we would like you to avoid typical 'Devil' cliches such as hoofed, red skinned, horned and pitchfork wielding. This guy (or girl if you're that way inclined) is the personification of evil, so make sure it shows.

The Guidelines:

• Can be any gender
• Must have a crown
• Must avoid typical 'Devil' cliches (as outlined above)
• Does not have to be humanoid - but please no gelatinous blobs.

THE RULES
In addition to the brief, if you do not follow these rules, you will not be included in the poll.

• Files must be named: CHoW#289_Username 
(Files with any other names such as final.jpg or even chow289final.jpg will not be accepted)
• Finals must be posted in the finals thread BEFORE the deadline
• Final post must include the CHoW number and the artists username at the bottom of the image
• At least 3/4 of the focus character must be visible
• Final images must be accompanied with a basic character sheet in a separate image
 Character sheets should at the very least show a sketch of the front and back of the character and a couple of early thumbnails/silhouettes.
• Follow the brief!

Hey Eofn, just to not get too deep into this design and avoid making a mistake...when you say crown do you specifically refer to an object inserted on the head of mr. satan or can we get creative as to what the crown is made of and how it wraps around his/her head?

Pixeltuner: I love the colors you've chosen and the overall vibe of the piece. I do feel that the pose does not transmit evil. His arms make him look reluctant (all four of them). Stand in front of the mirror and think of a more aggressive king.

The crown needs to be separate from the creature itself (ie, not just spikes or a part of the physical structure of the being), it's an accessory. It must be on the head but can be wrapped around the skull, sitting on to, floating, embedded - it's really up to you. As for what t's made out of, that is up to you as well.
