i think you should stop all this and spend a solid 6 months studying hard. you dont have the tools to pull this off well. i don't mean to offend just honestly your wasting your time. it's like your deciding what curtains you want in your new house, but your standing in an empty plot with no planning permission, blue-prints, building material or builders.

get your Sketchbook out order some Loomis books and a good perspective book and study them solidly. Its boring but your going to need to work hard if you want to improve.

I do own 2 sketch books one to use at home another one away. I have alredy bought few books and they has helped me, in books there is about everything ,characters ,poses, perspective, abot traditional and digital about pretty much everything.

And I have never seen loomies book in book store or or library.

I do not seek for excuse, just sayin.

You can try asking if the book store can order it for you, and they're also available from Amazon and other webshops: http://www.amazon.com/Andrew-Loomis/..._athr_dp_pel_1

And honestly, having two sketchbooks won't help if you don't use them, no matter if it's because of lack of time.

They weren't sketch books if I would not use them. I can show that i use them. Why books by him are that good?

So I trust that you're already doing daily life drawings to both of those? Because scribbling occasionally to them from imagination won't be enough.

As for the latter question I'm not the best to answer, but for me it's because they go through the basics in clear and precise manner (gesture, basic muscle groups, perspective, proportions, cartoony and realistic stuff, expressions, form/planes, lighting and so on) and also go through more theory in the later books (especially in the Eye of the Painter) and they're done by someone who can actually draw, is a professional and knows his stuff, even if on occasion you may find something that comes of bit out-dated in the text.
Another reason was that for the longest time they were available for free in the web when they weren't re-printed.

However it's not like there isn't other excellent books, especially for anatomy (Bammes, Bridgman, Peck and others from here: http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=152626) but the Loomis books are a good comprehensive package about all the important stuff, not just anatomy.
