Combining These Styles in Painter 12?

Hey.

I've done mostly traditional works combining graphite and charcoal pencils with the occasional carbon pencil, but I've recently purchased Painter 12 and have become enamoured with it. However, I've come across two pictures I fell in love with (one I have as a wallpaper now) and was wondering how these two pictures were don, as in which mediums were used, and possibly any way to combine the two aesthetics.

The first is the cover of this book:

Any help would be appreciated. I'm guessing the first is a combination of acrylics and something else (presumably watercolor). The second one I have no clue.

I believe she's not using painter anymore (it's not listed on her cghub profile and her recent livestreams are all paint tool sai centered)
I would assume she used painter 6 watercolour to paint;
it's offered as "digital watercolor" in present versions of painter, but its blending is broken since painter 8/IX, so you won't get exactly the same result.

2nd one is using painter's camelhair brushes for feathers, notice the smudged look, and some texture overlays that are basically black and white photos slapped on + painter's glow brush to bring in the red spot.

You should learn more traditional painting.
