Painter 12 Pencils for sketching

To all you Painter artists, what pencil variant do you use for sketching, when you're just starting off a new work? I'm new to Painter, and so far I'm loving everything about it, but I still haven't found a sketching pencil that works the way I want it to. I still do my sketching in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro (love that software too) and then import to Painter for the actual painting bit...

I've tried experimenting with the 2B pencil properties, etc, but just can't seem to find one that feels right, the way it does in Sketchbook Pro.

So what do you all use? Also, which is the best tool for inking in once you've completed sketching?

I use the cover pencil.

Usually pencils that are set to cover mode work better for me, because I can introduce a lighter color on top of another.

Also when I sketch, I don't use pure black, usually another color like blue works for me. I will slightly tweak the cover pencil to ink by using pure blacks.

When you go to the brush controls, you'll notice what method they are.

Buildup means you'll be going to black, I don't want to say "Dark" because eventually it does go to a black color. If you choose a lighter color it will not affect this method.

Cover means you can chose colors that are lighter and you can adjust accordingly.

Although this is an older version of painter, this may give you some visual ideas of what I mean by brush method.
