    would you recommand a 6d art pen?

    for digital painting mainly, I know what it is, just have never actually used it, so I dont have solid ideas how good it is, I play around a lot with brushes, thinking it might be adding some benefits to my workflow; the thing is it's not cheap and nowhere for me to try before buy, that's way I'm asking here.

    also, I'm using intuos 5, will the older art pen work with it?

    intuos 4 art pen will work with intuos 5 (same pen tech);
    everything else is already discussed here.
    it's a nice addition and I personally love it quite a lot, might be different for you however.
    It's absolutely not necessary, but very very nice.
    on the fourth day of glitchmas my painter™ gave to me
    four random crashes, three broken brushes, two system hangups & one corrupted workspace
