Thank you for sharing your piece.You have some of the fundamentals down- I see you have used aerial perspective on the background. If I could pick two or three basic things you should focus on, that would be
color variation and
value transitions. Try varying your colors, instead of using one colorpick for a whole object. Colors in nature bleed into each-other due to reflected light, resulting in gradients and variety. Values! Value is the way we perceive form. Try having a black layer on Saturation mode (if you use photoshop) and turn it on from time to time to see how your forms read. A trunk is a cylinder and there must be some shadows, highlights and perspective distortion of texture to support this.
In terms of composition, I would say the piece is relatively balanced, close to the rule of thirds. Try not placing things on your canvas border like you have done with those flowers(?) on the lower left. They seem like they are stemming from your canvas border. That goes for the cloud on the left and the tree branches on top, struggling to be included as a whole in the picture. Don't be afraid to let things go out of the picture!
