Looking forward to see more from you, because so far looking good
Maybe you just wanted to play around and see how colors work with each other, but like your name, you have some great sense of (graphic) design, or at least I think so... Soon you can be both artist/illustrator and designer![]()
@Snatti - Thanks a lot mate! I am working hard each day
@Trixtar - Thanks Trixstar, I aim to show better!![]()

Really nice material studies!
What software do you use? -Because some of it looks 3D-ish, and then on the other hand could also be 2D to my visual experience....![]()

Here is a still life study (50 minutes before bed)
Here is a 1.5 hour WIP on the Red Power Ranger. I gave him a Muay Thai fighting pose. Just roughed out the gesture and played with some different lighting set ups. Got to add the background, ambient fill light and use a bunch of fabric references to render it out. Will keep updates posted here.

I own a cintiq which I do not use enough to justify the cost of it. It gives me terrible neck aches for some reason when using paper is not any different posture haha. Anyway Here is 40 minutes of gestures on the cintiq vs 15 minutes (final gesture photographed) on paper. Winner: Paper. Oh how I wish I didn't buy the cintiq.
cool man, but spend more time, in total its about 40 minutes of studie in a day, need to push harder![]()

Hello there and thank you for stopping by my sketchbook!
It is a nice start you have here. With figure studies, I'd recommend studying more
from ref at this point, with photos that have a clear (not defused) light to be able to
see shapes better. Or from life, even better. And look up for some of the masters
like villpu, loomis, bridgman, hogarth, bammes, etc. See which fits you best and study
after them. Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know.
Anyway, keep them coming, you're doing great so far.
Thank you for the commentGlad you stopped by. I am just getting into figures and have been using pixelovely website. I got bridgeman and loomis books recently and just began reading through them.

Here is a 45 minute WIP of a hudson river painting study. Have not been focusing on details yet.
I realise there is a lot of things in the wrong direction etc but I have not been focusing on details so I will correct them all once I get the feel in.
a previous hudson river study which I forgot about. Will go in and finish up this one as well.

Thanks mate
Queensland, Gold Coast

Mug study. Haven't done a digital still life in a while. Most of my time has been spent doing pencil work with the figure stuff which has improved a lot. I got lazy and didn't draw out the elipses in perspective this time but I think I got close eyeballing it.

Nice studies man!
@assumzaek - Thanks, I actually find them fun now that I have a more comfortable chair and in turn produce better quality work. Before my neck would give me a lot of grief, make my art quality drop significantly and then that made me demoralised about even doing art because I wasn't having fun in the process (neck pain) and ended up with a terrible result. New chair, new posture, no pain, all fun, better results. Now I actually want to practise. Now it actually works...

@Assumzaek - Oh the figure studies paid off too by the way. Here is a figure from my imagination in 2 minutes (absolutely no reference apart from my visual library in the brain). This was done in painter using the scratchboard tool, not sure why I used it but did anyway. I find that if I block in with value rather than line I can feel the forms better so that is my way of working now, I lightly block it in feeling then I go over that with more precise linework but still using that feeling with the linework. Yeh I sound like a drunk but it is a feeling you get.
