Working on some animation, will gif later.
Got a lot of unfinished stuff in the works right now, but here's some silhouettes I've been developing for my game (that I'll never pitch.)
Posting some WIP stuff--some old, some new. Trying to get a feel for environmental atmosphere, clouds, rocks, etc.
And still working on silhouette development. These fluffy herder silhouettes are older than the one in the previous post, but I forgot to upload them.
I can see you are very dedicated and have some solid skills. Congrats! I also recommend trying the methods of Glenn Vilippu, Michael Hampton and Mike Matessi for the purposes of improving your ability to draw characters from your imagination. Great sketchbook!

What's taters precious? Po - tay - toes!
Awesome work, I love your pencil stuff. The guy in the first drawing of your last post reminds me of Nujabes.
There was a hiatus, a silence after a desert storm, but then suddenly
you surprised us. Just as I said, when we least expected it. A burst
of rapid extreme fire has started from the haze of the cloudy maze.
Brittani got her self a new toy, she got herself a new bag full of tricks,
everlasting neverending collection of highly appreciated painting skills.
A much better and improved version of yourself has surfaced amongst
the watery reed field. True love and stone squeezing hug-like feelings can
be experienced through your paintings of your loved ones, especially
your boyfriend. Such a true and honest soul, evoking right at the beginning
of the third millennium. Character design and silhouettes became your
second nature and your primary friends. Do keep going and pushing
yourself beyond your reasonable boundaries, cause that is the only
way to become your true self, your beautiful personality is
smiling more and more each day on the sparkling rays of
the modern world's sunshine.
Did a lot of quadruped studies yesterday for reference the fluffy creatures I've been working on. I wanna really figure out their bone structure and weight before I nail down a design.
Great job on the sketches. For the study of the bone structure I think you might enjoy this seven part video I found on a blog. It talks about the horse's bone structure and generally any quadruped and compares and contrasts it to the bone structure of the human body so if you already have an understanding of the human bone structure it makes it really easy to understand.

Too sleepy.
Developing the silhouettes some.
wonderful sb
i really like your portraits!
the characters in the last post are awesome - keep up the amazing work!
Was a little busy today with Christmas shopping and a friend's good-bye party, so just did a little more work on these silhouettes.
Would love some comment and critique on these guys!
Your pencils are looking great. And really loving the paintings. I love the fact that they look painterly rather than digital, almost got an oil painting effect, which is something I am trying to get myself but failing XD. The silhouettes are looking strong. Keep up the works. You seem to be doing really good! Oh and Happy holidays![]()
sense of purpose
my sketchbook
A photo study for today.
Neat stuff- I love the fluffiesThere's a lot of fun potential there.
I really like fKen Hultgren's "the art of animal drawing" for animal drawing - it's got some great gestural stuff
I use Ellenberger's An atlas of animal anatomy for skeletal / muscular stuff.
Happy sketching.
I like all the characters. It would be good to see some of them in a pose that is not static. And where's that animated gif you've been promising us?
Getting back into the groove with the holidays, back to work, and with ca going down, I kind of hit an art block. I'm not liking what I'm making so I'm a bit unmotivated. Uuuuuuf.
Will scan and post some pencils for another day.
Here's a batch of things I don't really have a lot of love for (mainly environments.) Hit me with some advice!
Can't paint anything to finish, lacking inspiration, so I did drawing studies instead!
Some basic gesture studies, portraits, and some anime studies from Kittan Zero.
Some sketches for the CHoW challenge!
Here's a whole pile of unfinished things. I'm so frustrated with art things right now it's just urururururururu. I was really determined to get more skilled it atmospheric perspective, but have been struggling a bit. I'm definitely weak in environments, so I think I'll practice that soon.
I keep trying to do the CHoW challenge but get busy or burned out/sad by the end of it. So here's a pile of stuff.
Some painting stuff.
The kid in furs was for Character of the Week's Mother Nature's Child, but I never got around to finishing it for the submission deadline. Just got a bit too busy.
And a quick 40 minute Tyrion painting. Will push it a little further. Playing with rendering techniques!
Still pushing values around, trying to avoid my common mistakes of lack of cool colors in shadows and warmer tones in highlights. And contrast!
20 minute environment studies. Blah.
New self-portrait.
I have no idea why.
And an hour later, my boyfriend appears as well.
Mmm, chili cheese fries.
A smattering of scans from my moleskine. This is usually where I start a character before I move to the computer.
Mostly just fun and free sketching. I usually try to keep it in pen so I can't make a mark without being sure of it.
A silhouette with mask options. Trying to do some asset design for character customization.
Firstly, wow.
There is a really good improvement in your stuff! Your paintings are getting better and better![]()
Loving these last designs.
The only thing left to do is to take some pieces into finalisation, to a fine polish.
Also, that Morrigan painting is beautiful. Fellow dragon age fan here. Can't wait for the third game!
@Sleep.less
Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm glad to hear that improvement is happening... hahaha, sometimes it doesn't feel like it so much through my own eyes.
I agree that I really need to take something to finish. I have a hard time ever sitting with a piece to completion because by about 80% done, I feel like I'm better and need to redo it. Ha!
And yes, I'm soooooooo excited for DA:3. Ooooh, my dream job is to work on those games...![]()
More fluffy things!
A little further on the character silhouette spread I had.
And a new evil fluffy! Adding in the element of protecting your Fluffies seemed like a good idea for the game, and a fun design for the pitch bible. Wee! Sorry for the iPhone image.
