Wonderful job on these pieces; I love how you drew the hands. Very nice rendering. The digital pieces could be a bit more defined, but other than that, you're off to a great start. Keep up the great work! I would love to see more of your art.

Great start, I'm looking forward to more. Maybe try slowing down and cleaning up your lines. Anyway, keep it up.

The studies look better as well as the faces.Remember what I wrote in the old sketchbook, self portraits in front of the mirror and as far as rendering goes, try to pick up some night time photos or just do life drawings of statues or something to improve your skills.Good luck!

    All studies are great!
A little advice - maybe u should start rendering with cross-hatching, and not just contour.
I personally find it easier to render this way(getting all the values) - so maybe u'll benefit from it

I like your shading. If I may suggest, start noticing the quality of the edges between shadow and light. They usually go from very hard to very soft. The better you capture the edge quality, the more accurate your forms will look.

    Great work, keep them coming.

thank you for all of your advice, I will keep those things in mind in my future work.

Right now I'm practicing some painting.
and I feel like I can't paint to save my life.
I couldn't get the values to match the reference that much at all.

You seem to have a good feel for seeing values, those sketches are all nicely done. The painting looks good, just try not to over-do it from the start. Choose a few colors and block them in with a large brush, then you can work on blending them together.

As a side note; I find those types of studies are a lot nicer to do from a still life setup instead of a photo.

Hey, firstly: thanks for visiting my sketchbook
Secondly: I really like your hands and torso studies. Your digital stuff isn't yet on the same level as the traditional drawings but I think it'll change in no time if you keep practicing, keep it up, man

the face with cap and street view are the best

you've got some problems with line economy while using pencil,
maybe to solve this use pencils like HB, B, 2B and focus more on light and shadow, rather than on contour

on the other hand while drawing creatures you can hit more transparent showing it's "construction"

First of all, thanks for dropping by at my SB.

And your studies are quite good actually. I don't see anything wrong with the way you're doing your hatching. I think you develop a certain style the more you practice, so keep at it .

A lot of nice work in here. Your rendering skills with the pencil are looking good. The street view drawing you did is also really interesting. It's got a nice graphic quality to it. So yeah, just keep plugging away.

still trying to fix my line work.
i think i at least finally figure out what i did wrong.
I dont know why it took me THAT long to figure out that im not suppose to just apply lines without thinking about it much when rendering
