thanks folks for the kind words lol especially for the last post hahaha
it's great that you've found your own style to draw faces. I can see a painting with that style in my head, and it looks great. Alot of improvement on body proportions.
Good work. The architecture drawings are fantastic! I looked through from the beginning, and, at first, I was thinking that you were avoiding drawing hands.I then when on to see all the hard work you've done on anatomy, heads and hands, and I'm impressed.
I think I saw someone recommend that you treat your heads like geometric shapes and approach them like your architecture studies, and I'd concur. That goes for the whole body, in fact. The limbs are tubes. The torso and pelvis can be treated as cylinders or boxes, whatever works for you. You can then lay them out on a perspective grid, and use it as an underdrawing. I'd suggest doing a few "Technical" drawings of these shapes in perspective just as an exercise, and maybe it'll help push the mass/3D quality of your figures a bit.
But keep up the great efforts - I can see your progress!

lifedrawing
hey alex , for first time lifedrawing they are definitly not bad, on the last one the body form came out great , how long did you had time? On the potrait the nose and the eye seems way to big. Otherwise keep going still a lot to learn on anatomy and proportion but its getting there ,cant wait till next lifedrawing ;P
thnx cera i really rushed them and im not used to charcoal hopefully i will get to a good stage with it someday
nice to see that u are trying new stuff like charcoal.
Where are ur hand and feet studys? I'd show them, u did them really well imo.

duuude improving leaps and bounds by the pages manz! I really like that flying thing in 187 bottom left how did I miss it! great job !
Nice update mate. I think you include alot of unneeded lines in your drawings though. Just do some simple construction then build on top. You don't have to draw every inch of the planes. It makes some things look messy and unclear. Keep posting.
=S I was looking at the wrong page

MONSTER UPDATE: ********WARNING MASSIVE LOW QUALITY UPDATE********** Pen, rough work.
Work sketchbook, some architecture stuff, some product stuff, gestures, animals, plants, patterns, lots of thinking etc.
1.) things to work on, improving line quality to show certain qualities of form etc.
2.) less construction lines
3.) More experimentation with form.
4.) More thought to page layout.
Dude, wow your designs are really inspiring what do you study from?
keep drawwinnnnnnnng mate ! I see you're drawing a lot, but may i suggest something more challenging in order to improve , like selfportraits, or even just portraits, i didn't see much of them here !! Keep it up dude !
Yemi775: thanks a lot dude its really nice to hear stuff like that. I kinda draw inspiration from a lot of things although i tend towards certain subjects, im really fascinated with emergent behaviour and how evolution works how it creates these amazing things. Im also kind of into trying to represent things, that are usually considered abstract or distanced from our everyday physical lives. I call this style, elementalism, and it involves taking things like natural processes, (heat waves rising, Condensation,) the exchange of Ions, Neural networks, smoke patterns etc. Things which would be really interesting to see on a grand scale. I also like to take things like emotions, in particular ecstacy, awe, these kind of emotions and trying to recreate that feeling in a design.
kikindaface: Thanks for the kick i will start pushing harder.
Hey Care!
Dude, i really liked your SB. Those shapes and forms scribbles can really help you to develop your sense of space, i would recommend some more finished sketches to really see where you are going with your design language. Keep pushing^^!
thanks caio, will do.
Heres some architecture shape forms been working on for niam, now we are swapping and developing these into finished structures.
I am really interested in what you and Niam come up with using those forms, the top ones on the post look like really effective ways of studying perspective. your sketchbook is full of interesting ideas, I personally cannot wait to see more from you.
