How dare you, I've worked on my cast drawing for like 8 hours today!

...But yes, you are absolutely right. I'm gonna do some more perspective studies before hitting the hay and tomorrow I'll post everything I do throughout the day (and it'll be a lot)! I need to learn this perspective stuff though so I can start to actually draw stuff that doesn't sit still for months at a time haha.

Oh and I played Terran in Brood War, but no time for video games any more! By the way guys, check out this video by Noah Bradley on freelancing, it's awesome and learning about the non-technical side of art careers can actually help you stay motivated and directed too I think.

    Hmm..
We are really random, why don't we start with specific subject?
We didn't specify from where to start..so everyone's making different subject.
Let's start with the skeleton, Just like prototypt' said before.
    That would be better.

I hope I won't slack off this time though.

Yea we can work on skeleton now I guess. I was working on that before but I moved to figures and gesture as skeleton wasnt helping a ton. I think muscles would actually help more than skeleton, honestly, as they have the same shape as the body and will help us with any figure- skeleton doesn't have that much mass compared

You're right, but there's some important bones we might want to study.Like the arms, skull and legs.A little bit of understanding would make a great progress.
    So what do you think?

Hmm, I personally also tend to do the muscles. I dont see where I would need to know the skeletton. Yeah sure it's good to know exactly how everything works, but I just find muscles and poses much more usefull.

Alright my pollen allergy has been going crazy this weekend, was barely able to see anything yesterday. Was a bit better today and got some work done, still no anatomy though (I tried, it was just as boring as the other day so I ended up doing this instead haha)! But yeah I'll try to draw some anatomy tomorrow. I want to get good at these stupid straight lines though, I got so frustrated today I ended up just scratching my pencil back and forth to get the lines. Not good.

For this week I suggest we find stuff in real life or from photos and try to draw them any way we want (could be longer value studies, examining their proportions and drawing simplified versions of them etc.), what do you all think?

Hey guys, sorry being so late to post.
I have been working on anatomy and life for the past week- however mostly gesture drawing and text! Some diagrams too. Really boring hahah, but I think it will help in the end. Not really things for critique so much, just bare practice and memorization. I will post drawings soon when this book tells me to draw something more interesting. @__@

sry, I got to take a week off. I have to think about the different universities and which way exactly I'd like to go.

next week I'll be back maybe, even though I have some more tests then

Good idea, but unfortunately most of us are busy these days~
But anyway, we can do that till everyone come back?so we don't waste our time. Then we can all come back and study anatomy?I don't know, what do you think?

We definitely shouldn't stop just because others don't have time, to be honest I don't expect to hear again from most of the people who have "signed up" for this (I mean many will come and go fast), but it's okay. We can do more anatomy too, I just need to pull myself together and not just do industrial design stuff all the time.

Agree on that, any kind of collaborations that stop and wait for folks with less time to catch up die out sooner or later... While when it's at least one person that keeps posting it's inspiring for others to finally find some time to post as well

    All right then!
I'm studying anatomy right now but while doing that, I realized how important it is to understand basic shapes( when it comes to angles )even though I feel like I do understand them..I still need to work on them.=_=

I'll try to keep my studying clean and organised so I can post it here XD

It's hard to work on everything at once though! I'm still doing the industrial design studies and will probably continue with them this week too. We can do more exercises rendering basic shapes as well if you want.

It's ok, you don't have to re-study them~You do what you're working at right now, and I'll make my way through these basics so I can follow you guys.

    @yochanan post your industrial stuff!

Finally got some anatomy to post.

BTW- Anatomy is really helpful, even if it is boring hehe
Also, I apologize again for not posting much. I draw and check the site every day, but only have limited access to a scanner.

finnianm: It's just the perspective studies from my sketchbook though, but sure I can post them here too haha! I want to try doing some product designs too (which I guess it what would really count as industrial design), but when I try to do something that resembles something I end up messing it up. Just need to practice it more I'm guessing!
