Always need critique

Talented art people,
Here are a few acrylic paintings that I recently finished. I'd love to get any and all feedback on them both technically AND conceptually. I'm trying to explore appropriated ideals in art history with a more humorous/philosophical lens. I'm also trying to convey some sense of a narrative, although the story shouldn't be super explicit and obvious. They were painted from a mish mash of reference and imagination. great lighting, but maybe tune the image at the sketch stage to make sure its super working before going to paint.

I really like the content of the first 2 for some reason. Those statues and the construction theme with the dusty ambiance is really compelling for some reason.

I recommend "Color and Light" by James Gurney. With a dose of Loomis.

Ok, lemme try:
Colorwise and themewise these look cool, but you could really reach a next level if you get a better grip on your drawing skills.
It looks like you are trying to get a realistic look in the pictures, but I'm putt off by the mistakes. The lines of the houses are wonky, the podests of the statues are not in perspective to the rest of the picture, the cars are really skewed or just strange and different places in the picture seem to follow different rules of perspective. It doesn't look like this was done on purpose. The people in the picture also suffer from anatomy mistakes, it's especially obvious in the faces and the heads.

Appart from that.. they look good C:.

Pavel Sokov: Thanks for the kind words. More work is under way on similar fake fountains. Keep an eye out.

arenhaus: Thanks for the suggestion. Gurney is already on the shelf.

Kiera: Thank you for the critique. They do have an in between quality to them as far as realism. Partly as a function of skill level and partly due to the abstract concepts I'm trying to convey. These paintings were done from b&w drawings that I did before hand. Do the drawings look more realistic than the paintings? Thanks for the comments!
