Well, this fell through blatantly and hard. I think this is a testament to why this site has been so stagnant lately. A breath of fresh air is needed - where are the people that were talking but don't act on it?

I have noticed that this website has been remarkably quiet compared to six months to even a year ago. There seemed to be a much more active community then as compared to now.

Even still I'm still thinking this is an interesting idea.

Anyways, preparations are still going way. It's a bit of a fuzz to coordinate with people disappearing for vacations now and then, but team building threads should pop up any minute now.

The last team ChoW did have a banner on the top of the page, because I made it! It's something which should be standard when site competitions are announced, and in fact I wonder why the weekly challenges don't get more promotion anyway... They've been the backbone of a lot of the creativity on CA for many years.

I remember that banner. It got my attention. There were at least a hundred that signed up as well. The community challenges are easy to overlook. I think the all star grid up top can be replaced by challenge banners.

Look at how burried in the middle the challenges are. Keep in mind the banners up top take up my entire screen. I'm not complaining, but I rarely have a reason to click on them. I know CA 4.0 is on the way. A change like this would be welcome.

Oh man, you know what I could really go for right about now? Another Last Man Standing. Not like that team one that had a while back, but a hardcore, multiple round, to the death stand-off. Those were so cool! Ahh the good old days.. /sigh

I did act on it, I just don't really have the ability to do much aside from emailing the mods a bunch of times. Sounds like they might be on it though, if threads are really going up in a couple days.
