Welcome to CA =).
Dig the chick with the pink hair, some nice stylization. If you can (or you may do already) get your hands on books by George Bridgman.
and stop by my SB, cheers.
Coo
I would love to stop by but the link to your SB is broken. Thankyou however for the comment.
NOW FOR THE ARTZ!

callouses on the fingers. If you don’t have any, you’re not drawing enough.

The pen figure/action studies are good exercises, do lots of those to help you better understand form and movement of the human figure. Do some anatomy studies too. The portrait work is really quite good considering your age. I'd say just keep drawing everyday and you will reach your goal!
Welcome to CA :0)
And I DOUBLE DARE you to look at my SB.
I must say, I expected allot less!
Many of your drawings are very good (loving the 2 last ones)
I would suggest you work more on anatomy, because I KNOW that that is something an artist must have.. I'm 17 and also wanting to learn, so feel free to drop by my SB, to leave me a comment
One thing I didn't really like about some of your digitals are the stomachs ... they seem so messy. (there for anatomy) Use ref...
By using ref you can learn allot. But when you feel secure with ref take it a step further:
look at pictures, then turn away and draw from memory, then look again, put away again and try fixing errors again from memory.. (repeat)
next step:
draw without ref!!!
Hope this was understandable...
Chris

Piranha Clan:Thanks for replying- I'm desperately trying to draw everyday and put hours in even if I have to do it late at night. I like portraits but half way in I get bored and know the finished product will suck so I just move on to bodies most the time, Thankyou for the complement.
Hive_minD:Thankyou for the tips they were very understandable. I'll try to make the stomachs more neat- they end up like that because I go overboard, I'll be doing your process daily and my eyes and hands shall hate you for it.

Definitely get an anatomy book for reference, it can only make you that much of a better artist!
Flipnastywebby: Thankyou for the comment- I really needed the wake-up call, I shall be going through my anatomy books once more more intensively as well. Lol and I shall take your dare as well, thankyou for stopping by.
ashrumm:Thankyou as well for the comment, it is evident I still have many anatomy problems to work out.

good stuff.
Keep doing lots of studies and when you can try to reach the same technique from imagination.
Be careful with your lines though, you're getting your marks, but dont rely too much on them, make then lighter. More construction lines too would help you on hierarchising (?) your drawing. Keep every aspect clean and easy to separate so you dont get lost.
Keep working hard !
DanielC: Thankyou, your advice is unpecedented. Ill be working on the construction more without it an entire picture will collapse to be a failure. Ill continue studying no matter what. The encourgment is greatly appreciated.

You have a heck of alot of talent. Sheesh. You will be an artist for sure if you stick with it. However, have a better Idea of what you plan to do will help. You are really covering alot of ground with your work and figuring out what comes naturally will help immensely. You won't be hired because you can do everything, you'll be hired because you can do one thing best.
The movement studies are awesome but personally I would like to see more imagination.
Very, very nice sb though (i can't believe your 16!) please keep it up!
Cool stuff! Definitely stick to traditional mediums (such as pencil) for a while. Digital painting comes easier after painting and rendering traditionally.
But besides that, cool reference drawings and such. Much much more from life!!
Keep posting!![]()
Quick goat sketch. Plans to be colored.
Krigbrann:Thankyou for your commentary and compliments. To say I'll be an artist no matter what as long as I stick with it is truly inspiring. I still don't know what to do for my specialty but I know I want to be a sort of cover artist and animator, anything and everything. I want to do it all, I want to do as much as possible and do it all well. It's much but I'm taking baby-steps. Ill work on imagination.
I just turned 17 on Oct. 19. I feel more and more like I'm running out of time.
ChaoticKnight: Thankyou I'll keep up the life work without fail, in between inspirational imagination bouts. Thankyou for the compliments.

wow you have real talent here, its disheartening to see such little replies but you're still going at it. keep doing so, you'll reap what you sow.

Criots: Thankyou! I will soon be going to daily updates, but it is harder than it looks. I'm glad people are looking at my sketchbook, thats all that matters to me. By the way, I glanced at yours and wished there was more- Your photos are great! Very city oriented and cool to me.
