    Abe's work, some NEW stuff

    Hello Everyone,

My name is Abe. I have not posted here in a long time but thought that the time had finally come to put some work up.

I am a few weeks shy of finishing my four year BA of Animation at Sheridan College. The work below is from my second semester concept/vis development portfolio. My focuses include environment and character design, however from time to time I model and rig my characters so that I can bring them to life through animation. Thanks for taking a look.

Beautiful work. You have a lot of versatility!

If I could make one very minor suggestion - your first pieces (the realistically rendered market scenes) could possibly benefit from just a bit more texture or tooth. Everything seems so smooth and evenly rendered that it's not quite coming together for me.

Great and inspiring stuff. I look forward to seeing more

Excellent! Of course, I prefer the more realistic pieces (environments) over the cartoon style (character close ups), but that's a preference rather than a critique.

FowlerIllus: Thanks dude! I appreciate the kind words and I know what you mean regarding adding some sharpness or realism to them. This is definitely something I have been working towards.

Dahami: Hey thanks man, I go both cartooney and realistic due to my fine arts background, however the cartooney look is mainly from my time at a classical animation school. So the classical animation medium asks for the occasional stylistic approach.
