    Need help getting this right

    I'm having trouble with the colors in this to make this "real"
    i guess you could say

    Well, first of all, if you want your drawing to look "real", drop color and concentrate on structure. The form of the figure is vague and you have no defined light source. For instance, why is the front of his nose hit by light, but the front of his forhead in darkness? You have to think of the body in terms of planes. Color will still be a problem, but it's a problem for later. Also, you should keep embellishments like those on the armor to a minimum until you have a defined shape. Here's a paint over to illustrate my point. The wire structure is especially loose, by you get the idea:

    So the lighting would go basically like this no details just a simple block in at first (sorry i need to take this a bit slow so i can understand this)

    Good advice from Grunler. And dont forget reference! Wait until night time, and see if you can put two lights on urself and put a timer on ur camera.
