Hey everyone, decided I'd have a go at this!

I started on my "field." Will fill in the debris later (I'll replace those pieces of generic scaffolding with something more interesting ) Crits alllllways welcome... Specifically, does that lens flare even make sense? I did it because it's hard to resist shiny things, but I really have no clue whether it's optically correct (or even close to being correct)--I haven't really done a scene like this before. Thanks!

Well I got the field but derailed a bit into a generic enviro sketch. Consider this a study.

A little too generic but oh well, this is fun. 3.5h in, still trying to make it read better, there's too much going on.

Initial idea, a fantasy setting, party traveling to a ruined city, got to make the shot more widescreen,
and flatten the ruines and spread them more all over the show.

This time I really like your peace Snafu, great work.

bara nice feel of depth in your sketch

    nice najtkriss

Pixeltuner Like your idea with the spring theme, I would make the debris more visible, but really great picture.

Here is what I got so far:

It is an open ended topic so yeah, you can go totally obvious and do an asteroid field or something

Hah, saw the thread on friday I think and thought the deadline is in two days and came up with this.

A crop field is recorded having supernatural phenomena involving levitating rock formations after a nearby military testing is shut down.

Hey Whiskey, first of all: great idea with the storm/tornado thingie. The main problem your picture has is a lack of depth at the moment. You placed both the house and the tornado right on the horizon line and they're way too big to be sitting there since we're in a flat grassy area and you can probably look pretty far. Secondly determine a stronger focal point, either the house or the tornado. They're both pretty even now.
Or maybe make the tornado closer to the house in front and make it a bit more exciting.

I know you're suggesting it has already been at the house but I think it might be more striking to put the debris in the background and have one pristine house left in the foreground where the tornado is almost ready to destroy it. Just a thought, hope that helps a bit.

Hi all, this is my first EOW, and I am new to environment painting in general. This is what I have come up with:

I imagined a space-war going on near a deserted planet. Two factions are combating eachother in dogfights and pilots can be seen crashing onto the surface. The main command ships of both factions ram into eachother and explode in a blazing inferno. With no means of escaping from the planet, will the survivors continue their war on the surface, or will they work together? The two command-ships exploding can be seen as the rising sun, and is a symbol for a new beginning, because the survivors are no longer binded to the service of their commanders.

Some things I struggle with: to make the inferno more of an inferno but also like a sun still (i have no idea how this would look from the surface); and to make the scene a bit more interesting while keeping serenity.

    Here are my thumbs.

The theme would be a space debris field caused by the collision of multiple spacecraft. A lonely scavanger ship feasts on the wreckage before the police investigators show up.

DonT' know if I'll continue with these or switch to something completely new.

The word ‘anarchy’ comes from the ancient Greek αναρχία in which αν meant ‘without’ and αρχία meant first a military ‘leader’ and then ‘ruler’. Anarchist society is one ‘without rulers’: a classless, non-hierarchical society.
