    4 NOOBS and THE CHALLENGE

Hello everyone! This time I want to surprise you with something a little more original. This is not just another ordinary thread like a regular SB. THIS IS......

THE RAZOR CHALLENGE OF HELL FROM THE ULTIMATE HELLFIRE... yah

To be more precise it's a team sketchbook for 4 NOOBS (Me-Ranivius, ANtY93, Satis1994 and Eternal Apprentice) We want to improve the most we can in the shortest time possible. Rules are quite simple.Anybody from the Concept art community, including us Noobs, can give us challenges to complete. It can be in any media, even an animation For every completed challenge we gain experience points. We will gain more or less experience points based on the difficulty of the challenge and the quality of our piece. This will be done by putting our pieces up to a public vote. We will be also posting work that will not playing a role in the challenge.

I challenge all three you to each draw a picture of a knight in armor fighting with his weapon going through his opponent. Any style or way you want to draw it but you all have to have one that is your own with a background on each.

you said anybody can make a challenge right lets see this then.

I'm also a rookie so don't worry to much I just want to see it.

nobbish drawing coming from my laziness

It is not concerning challenges, but just lazy drawing without an idea. Its kind of postapocalyptic knight...

I just finished my website i had to do, and now I AM FREE! It is only a matter of time when i am about to set the new rules of this sketchbook, so wait up....

From this time there won't be more boredom

@Ranivius thats a pretty good one accept for a few things I have doubts you're a noob. but then again i'm not that good myself.

@ANtY93 sorry if I messed up your sci fi train of thought & The knight picture kind of remind of them real old cartoons.

though only seen 2 right now it gives the idea that maybe I should try it too now to see how I do.

Some of my school work, all of it is going to be my AP Art portfolio. It's still in progress, I need 12 in total. Its very vector based, hopefully you can see an idea that connects all of them. It's suppose to be my concentration. Let me know what you think.

    ha! great idea!

good starts already but lets see some more studies!!

ok heres a couple of challenges...

complete a landscape study fom a photograph ----> 25 pts.

complete a figure study without using any line work ----> 20 pts.

make 3 seperate character designs meant for a first person shooter in a sci fi theme, for just the linework ----> 30 pts. if you fully paint the 3 characters then you get another 30 pts.

    hows that sound? good luck!!!!

    thanks

NickyBeats - thank you very much for posting here Thanks for giving us challenges too, but i have some objections about the points we can get from this challenge. It's pretty serious amout of experience for such easy tasks as drawing from photography. Single character design is sometimes quite hard but it is just a single char. so 60 exp for 3 fully paint characters is too much in this case. I take into account that we can not get even half of it, but its still to much. If we finished it now and get even half of that exp, we will be few level up and moving on killing fun from challenges. Sorry to say that all, i just want to enjoy this thread a little longer

    My proposition is:

complete a landscape study fom a photograph ----> 8 pts.

complete a figure study without using any line work ----> 7 pts.

make 3 seperate character designs meant for a first person shooter in a sci fi theme, for just the linework ----> 16 pts. if you fully paint the 3 characters then you get another 10 pts.

if you have objections feel free to tell us

    THANKS AGAIN

I will try to make some examples with experience points from certain challenges, an how i see it.

    Try this...

    Sketchule

Everyday. If you can’t complete in the time given you MUST move on. Music or silence only. No documentaries, movies or news feeds playing so you can concentrate. Through out day start figuring out what you are going to use for reference or a topic for the night. If you can’t do a full four hours that day keep it related and lean towards iterations. Always keep your sketchbook with you from now on. Make notes to self if you find topics to use for later. Be flexible, don’t trip out if you can’t make a day. Enjoy it. Remember, capturing that “essential spirit” needs to be the major point behind every thing you do.
