    Comic book development

Starting a side project that requires some thought and a lot (and lots) of sketches. Thoughts, ideas welcomed! I've been a long time admirer of the work on CA now it's time to contribute. PS some of the sketches are more kid friendly, but the project in mind will be more... adult.Name: Penny&Bobby Assets 04medusaSml.jpg

    Something a little twisted

Felt like doing something a bit darker. Mixing Fantasy with Horror.

these little drawings look super cool! especially love the shading with lights, are you using just regular tinted drawing paper? or is it from a sketchbook, I've been looking around to purchasing a sketchbook with paper that color

would love to see some finished pieces

Thanks, duplicitious- Yeah, it's an earthbound sketchbook (Cachet by Daler/Rowney is what it says on the back cover). I think that's what they're called (earthbound), but they're not anywhere near as popular as regular sketchbooks. I love 'em because they force me to find the light and make the drawing pop. And for that I use a white charcoal. Tried white pencils, but they don't work so well.

    another quick one

Playing with combining elements and holding on to structure. My brain's tired and it's nice to sit down with a pencil.

Trying to make more time to keep sketching... Always the challenge.

    Fantasy to Sci-fi

I've still got a couple months to develop images/ideas which is pretty nice. Though it looks like I'll be steering more towards a sci fi project. Given all the incredible work out there it's a little intimidating.

you've got a great sense of style, man.
The only thing I really want to see is full body shots of these characters and I wanna see them interacting with each other.

...and maybe some scenes that they'll be apart of, too.
How much time does it take you to Illustrate these sketches?

    trying to make the time

Mak_Attack- Sketched a head-to-toe for ya. Most of my sketches take between :30- 45 min- depends on what I'm focused on (gesture, shapes, etc) and if I'm being distracted. The ones I've posted so far are between 10ish to 45. The rendering is fun but time consuming.

    continuing with the cop design

Pushing the cop design. I like where it's going. It's a quick one, but open to any suggestions/ideas...
