Awesome studies and doodles! Thanks for reminding me how powerful the lasso tool could be and for sharing insights on your process. I will experiment more with it in the futurekeep up the good work!

Very solid characters; they look grounded and well balanced, I'm liking it!

Hey guys! Thanks for your support!
I´m back after two months... damn that´s a long time. I was busy with some client work and uni. Certainly hope to get my stylus going again:
Here we go! Some sketchy characters, perspective scribbles, first attempts with environments and a portrait (yeah, I like my fair share of portraits).
Thanks for dropping by! Until next time!
hawt.
I appreciate your work.
That 2nd character really caught my attention. These dynamic lines in your character sketches are amazing, I envy you - you really have nice pencils and linework in general.

Thank you very much, guys!
Some characters from imagination and sketchbook pages. The legs of the bold lady could crush skulls, I´m sure of it. I think I nailed the proportions on that one (NOT).
your characters=unique. still waiting for some super-epic illustration : D
PontusEuxinus
thanks buddy! No epic illustration yet.
Tried to illustrate some emotions.
With the three guys I didn´t focus on expression so much. Mostly it was the idea to create characters relating to one another and embody certain qualities which complement eachother . It´s two brothers with their father at the top who are running a crime collective of some sort.
cool studies, i love your portraits at#126 and #120
Nicely done with the expresions, cool thing!
Thanks guys!
First try on a comic. Well, not really, it´s only a panel, but the intention counts! And a strange blue banana in a yellow trenchcoat. Seems plausible to me.
Going different paths I guess. More stylized, more color, more fun!
Super great sketchbook. Your lines are perfect. And nice colors
Watching ya!

Thanks guys!
The last few days I worked on a challenge with the topic "Tiger Hero". Had to scrap my first try on the character, because he was just plain boring. I´m glad I did. Was a lot of fun working on this piece.
Little background story for my character:
The baby´s cries died down. From the warmth of his mother´s womb, he fell right back into cold darkness, for the little thing was blind. Cruel as the world was, his right to live was then no more. He was of no use for anybody, just a burden not worth bothering with.
The careless mother tossed him into the woods of the Sundarbans. A dangerous place. A place that would make anything disappear and keep it´s secrets forever.
This filthy, little thing cried for hours, demanded its rights to live and to thrive. His will was strong and the voice convincing, so the woods kept on listening...
Then suddenly he became silent. He smelled something familiar. Flimsy colors appeared in his sight. He heard a soft voice. The colors became intense and vibrant.
The woods were satisfied with the settlement...

Thank you very much guys!
My plan of doing more personal stuff and no studies didn´t work out as intended. The ideas and images are there in my head, but the execution is just plain horrible. The thing is that I fail to overcome the beginning stage, when the painting looks aweful (maybe some of you know what I mean) and keep on working on the big picture. I tend to get into detail way too fast, I´m zooming in and out every second (damn you smooth Photoshop zoom!) and I don´t notice it most of the time. It has become some sort of subconscious thing.
Now I´m into making studies again. Trying to work mostly with large strokes, following the form and getting the shapes right.
know that zooming issue too good. bad bad habit : |
your gestures look so fluid, im crying.
thanks Pontus

Your drawings are really nice. I especially love the ink cowboy.
