Nice to see you playing with egdes aswell! I know i'm repeating myself but those are getting better very fast.

Donno if you are doing that already, but try setting yourself various goals for each study; for instance: focusing on composition, greyscale, shape-language, edges, mood, light(daylight? night? weather? zone?), perspective, brusheconomy, color, texture, narrative aspects, etc.etc. - this way you will get a great variety of skills, knowledge and motivation, cause you aren't doing the exact same thing over and over

Sebastian First thigns first, thanks man. Rly appreciate your suggestions!
Yes, I have set some goals, but you counted so many aspects. Currently I´m mainly focusing on possible elements in a landscape(like weather, stone shapes, water etc, like you said. Also, still have huge problems with rendering, so I gotta get a workflow on that. I decided to not use textures for now(because I want to render them myself for understanding). Of course, color and value are still major things, I try to consider in every study.
May I ask what you mean by shape-language and brush economy?
And currently I definitely dont lack motivation. So much to do, haha.

From NG again. They have so many cool photos. o_o

I´m not quite satisfied with this. Perspective and scaling is messed up. So again, going on to the next one...critiques are welcome.

this one looks nice, I really like the lightning. on perspective and scaling, it looks a little bit weird. I think it could improve if you made the background a little bit lighter or more grey, to show distance.

Of course not! But I also kinda have it from somewhere:

Copied from photo, training colors(again) and a little bit layer management. Not satisfied, because unfinished.

Thank you. People keep saying that I´m improving. It´s very motivating. Hopefully, I wont take so much time on my next "personal" piece.

First is a study from ref. Second is mostly without ref. Have to practice landscapes again D:

    Hey guys
I am currently in a painting slump, but trying to start the ball rolling again.
A lighting/value study to begin with! I will do more of these these days.

Surprisingly one of those take up to an hour, because I´m trying to be veeeeeery accurate with the colors. Also thinking a lot, while painting.

Awesome work in here, the studies are great. I especially enjoyed the cloud studies - great variation of edges!
Any advice on how to improve edge control? I always tend to get all muddy colors without any shape when using the hard brush with pen pressure...

edit: Looking back at #55, whoo! Fell in love with those clouds, haha! I'm jealous, really, I guess I have to wake up early tomorrow and do some serious cloud studies.
