    comics, figure and perspective

I have a question about comic artists. Do they draw a perspective grid in each panel? for the figures, building etc?

Depends on the panel and artist. For something like a cityscape I'd say without a doubt. Usually any panel with difficult to eye perspective, or if done digitally a light grid layer to start up.

Though many panels it's just a face or the characters aren't totally set in an environment and just partially shown enough to bluff it or so it's not needed. But the master shots that show the environment 9/10 times probably need a grid if you want it accurate for geometric environments at least.

    Grids help though regardless.

A good artist is always aware of perspective even if he doesn't build a formal plot of it.
