    Im giving this a shot

Yo, I was thinking about doing this illustration of this centipede robot monster trashing a city. But I thought that to get to know it more I would make a concept sheet. Ive never done this "technical drawing" style before, but I quite like it so far.
Please tell me anything that you see is wrong with it or suggestions to make it more menacing or badass.

I want to do some concept art for this aswell, so I would like some pointers into how this is going.

    thanks guys

This is the Value study for the scene, the centapede robot thing curls into a difensive position from incoming fire

I quite like the technical illo aesthetically...but functionally I think the legs need to be worked out more - how they move, rotate, etc.
    What would Caravaggio do?

it does look absolutely badass, but i agree with jeff, it seems kinda unclear how it would stand up with those legs in the first image, but apart from that, it looks really awesome

Try to not make the legs too sharp at the tips. As weapons that's perfect, but we have feet for a reason. I can imagine this thing trying to ravage a city and constantly getting stuck because it's feet are sinking straight into the ground.

I agree with the other comments, but to avoid too much echoing, I'll just quickly suggest looking at variations of actual centipedes. A google search turned up several different species with different leg structures that could be helpful. Although I'm a little creeped out to stare at the photos too long I'll just wish you luck with that.
