If I happen to comment on your sketchbook, please don't feel obliged to comment on mine. use that time instead to get back to work.

I adore those pears.
YAY. : )
Keep going man!
Waiting for the "daily" updates, hehe.
Welcome on board!
Great line quality on that first sketch, looking forward to more ^_^.
– and so quick! (The first comment came in, while I still was busy getting acquainted with the technical part of CA)
@luthertaylor – to try something new does mean getting in to a medium I´ve paid less attention to in the last years. A new computer and a nice new Wacom Intuos4 are an inspiring and challenging tool combination someone like me can't keep his hands of. Encouraged by a young friend, I took a look in to this concept art scene. And I must say it looks like fun! So why not dig in to it?
@Black Spot – Glad to please you. Fruits and vegetables are fun to paint. They hold still, always look good and when you're done, you can eat them. Compare that with life drawing!
@Ambiguity – Thanks, keep dropping in. I think I'll focus on using pencil drawings as a base for illustrating digital for a while. I keep trying but I up to now I'm not satisfied with the results, when I do digital line art. It just doesn't have as much life as when I work with pencil on paper.
Of course I'm not totally satisfied with this one yet, but it may be good example to show what I'm messing around with at the time.

Very nice quality of paintings and drawings! original ideas and great execution of them!
Keep them coming!
See my latest Sketchbook work!
Feel Free to comment!
Great colors. Looks like you are off to a great start. Just keep posting and pushing work out!
Good good.
Everything is coming along great.
Would have loved to see some more variety in the color of the shadows. They are basically just black, so making them more interesting would be an option next time. : )
Thanks @ll.
Guess you're right – Nemome – I think though it's less the black, but the simplicity of color shading which gives the character this dull look of candy. I'll keep an eye on that!
My posting of today I dedicate to those lovers of line art.

Welcome, sir! That first sketch with the dinosaur and the scolding figure is great, very story driven. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing you post more!
I think the bird is a lot of fun - I'd like to see more of the feet though. Nice stances on the linework
I realize daily postings don't really work out yet at this time in life. This doesn't mean I'm sitting around with my boots on the table. Here's a selection of some sketches I did the last few days.
Playing around with some creatures
Wondering what characters I might come up with, when I just let my pencil do the job…
Life's not only a playground – people sometime have to have a serious discussion...

Getting started on Stan Smith.

In progress. I don’t know yet where it will end. Those crystals evolved somehow in the last step.
I'll have to add a third one in the foreground tomorrow.
Good to see that you're practicing your digital painting skills.
I really love the look of the crystal. You know directly what material it is!
Here I did a very small change to the image. Self explaining. Perhaps it helps!

Looking forward to the final image.
Thanks man - I'll keep an eye on that.
Actually I had planned on a much more misty mood, but somehow the contours kept getting harder and harder… I guess I go for that foggy stuff in another painting![]()
Instead of going to bed I got attracted by Stan Smith again. I want to get him finished because I have an idea in which environment I would like to place him.

I like it but I'm not sure he's sitting right on the suitcase with the lower line of his thigh running under his coat; make him appear like he's floating a bit.
At the time I'm very busy with non-digital stuff. I'm glad though to find some time for sketches like these.
Thanks, Black Spot. Your right – something's wrong there. At least he's not sitting very comfortable. I like him too, and I think he's worth spending a little more time.
I'm still concentrating on thumbnails. I start with very loose scribbles, until I begin to see something in it.

those draws man, like mort drucker.
The last few days I found a little more time for painting
Experimenting with various stuff,
Getting back to a picture I started a few weeks ago.
I'm not really happy with this one. I`m not even sure anymore if it`s worth investing much more time to finish. What do you guys think?
