Well, I've been a little intimidated due to the excellent quality of work I see on CA.org to start up a sketchbook here, but better to have feedback than not, right?

Starting out with a WIP to practice a few things, namely lighting, as well as rendering and full environments rather than backround-less character portraits I'm oh-so-guilty for.

Then a few 1-hour doodles based on various prompts

and finally some attempted stylizations of wolf faces.

I've been on something of a desert stint, maybe you can tell |D

yay, this finally went through!

towards the end of last semester I turned all my classes into art classes. Helps me remember the lectures better, at least! And it'll hopefully keep my skills from getting too rusty, being bogged down with liberal arts classes ;D

Most recent update to the wolf piece. I haven't touched it in about a month, though :/ too many other ideas/things to do!

The fourth one was 2011's christmas card design

and the last two I just felt like doing. Finally making good use of my free time!

The last one I feel needs something on the left side because the composition is bothering me, but I'm having trouble working out what would fit haha

Thanks everyone! I made a journey to the scanner just now..

a few sketches, mostly from around Christmas... some of my aunt's cat, random objects, me trying to get used to drawing borzoi, more WOLVES, sketches done as I, 2 years later, finished up the last season of LOST, WIP of a graphite copy of Bourgereau's Au Bord du Ruisseau that I started last night (I know I know, copying in such a vastly different medium probably isn't the best idea.. I just felt more like using pencils than digital painting, and actual painting isn't an option in my tiny space haha) and...1-hour sketch of a coyote from about a month or two ago that I meant to post in the first post, but I suppose it didn't go through, but I like it so I'll post it EDIT: lol oops, I'm a derp. Apparently it did go through and wasn't loading... deleted! xD
