    Personal Bunch of crap

Frank Miller studies from 'Ronin', Old bridgman stuff in ballpoint, a page from a recent sketchbook, Sargent studies that were up to 1 an a half hours each, Tree study from a pic on Flickr still tryna learn to digital paint with colour, and a still frame copy off of Boardwalk Empire of the character Arnold Rothstein...

    Personal Crap

Working on painting skills in photoshop, I'm feeling rather down as of late so i've been slacking a lot. These are from a week or so ago. Mountain study from a picture a found from Flickr; quick Leighton study? and Sargent study and finally some shitty study of a bird...arghhh i need to practice more!!!

    district 9

What was supposed to be a rough 1 hour film study turned into a detailed-about 3 days all together- digital painting.

I've never attempted to do a painting this detailed before; ever! So even though its still unfinished-an i'm really tired of staring at this god damn prawn-i'm satisfied by the outcome.

Hopefully my next piece will be up to this level

Noice! A lot of things worked out really nicely in that last painting! The detail in the scaley things on his face looks really sweet.Your mark making also makes a lot of your work stand out. As a crit, I would consider playing up the contrast in your paintings. A lot of them look a little gray because the shadows aren't quite as dark, and the highlights aren't quite as light as they could be. Keep it up!

    Some.old.with.New

lemming-clone- I know what your saying, as it is especially evident in that lame Leighton 'Study' of mine, i will definitely be working on my contrasts more

Anyways, too start off the new year i did some really really CRAP landscape studies-2 or 3 of them were 10-15 mins and the detailed ones were up to 30 mins...tried to only use the lasso tool but my 'Artistic A.D.D' pushed me into using the brush tool aswell lol gotta focus more.

I also have some Life drawing stuff from last month which i forgot to post. Working on gesture, the really quick charcoal ones are 2-3 mins and the more detailed ones were up to 15 mins. Those last 2 in blue coloured pencil were 10-15 mins.

I promise my next post of work will be better....

Daaaaaaaaammmmn, that alien thing is awesome! So detailed! No wonder you were working for 3 days. I can only imagine how tired you are from it.
Also lovin the blue figure drawings.
Keep working hard, you have to fight with yourself to do more, noone else can do that in your place.

    Train Doodles and Life.Drawing

vanaga lol thanx mayne, that District 9 piece literally burnt me out and now i'm at a lost on how to follow that up

Trixtar Thank you, that 'monster' is that Prawn thingy from the Blomkamp Film 'District 9'..you should really watch it if you havn't seen it yet; Good Film An i'll try to keep posting

Whirly Hey Simon, Thanks dude. Your on the Scott Eaton course too? Awesome! I'm all for doing a Sketch Group thing.... I should really get started on the Assignments but this Uni stuff is drowning me at the moment...but nothing i cant handle

Well, Hey everyone. It's been a long week...havn't done much digital painting this week sadly i've been doing quite a lot of Rough storyboards for a Uni Group-project i'm doing but they are really crappy so i won't be posting it here lol.

I've also begun a Scott Eaton Anatomy course + Michael Hampton Figure Drawing course...all this on top of my Uni Stuff...Definitely not enough work for me to do HA!

Anyways, i've got some Train doodles/Sketches here i did on the way to Uni this week, mostly imagination (Please excuse the 'Crudeness' i did this on a freaking moving train!!) as well as Drawings from 2 life drawing sessions...

    Til' Next time

Man I completely dig your gesture and anatomy studies. Boy are those lines and stabs sexy, ~whistle~ Is it charcoal? Amazing stuff dude. Draw more, and that's an advice I myself should take
Don't bother looking at my sketchbook. I haven't updated that thing in years. :/

Hey there, i think your doing great, you seem to be pretty hard on your self (which i feel is needed to improve) but you might want to not be so down on your self and your work, just keep doing what your doing, any work is good work as its a learning experience!

Some old stuff: First up, some really old C.Marine Studies (like early 2012 old lol), a bird+Wednesday Addams study and an overdone? Walking dead study (will show a crappy process breakdown of it next post if anyone's interested?). Also, a quick landscape sketch and some Cyclops/Pokemon fanart of my own. have a nice day
