The two profile skulls: the bottom of the cranium should be lower and rounder. the buggers have n great facial bones, but not much room for a brain...![]()
The anterior view is good except the cheekbones are too thick, make the eye sockets larger and the bottom of the cheekbones highr, esp. on the left.
Also, in the second profile, the mandibles are not parallel in the ref., and the cheekbone is too thick. Try to look where features are in relation to other both in the ref and on the drawing, I find that really helps me in anatomy studies. Overall I think you've got the detail really well, but the overall shape and proportion needs looking at. Sit back and take in the overall shape in both the ref and your pic and compare. I find you see alot more inconsistancies with the ref next to the image on your 'puter screen than you can physically.
Holy cow...I'm finished, but will anyone read me?
*runs away to draw*

'mars
Hey man good sketchbook
I love your studies, those show the most improvement. The cast, the arm studies etc.
In your imaginative sketches, I see an area you may want to pay attention to is the waist area. A lot of them are lacking the waist and go straight to the pelvis. The waist is the most important part of the body I think, you move with it. First your waist then your feet.
Good stuff, just keep going!
this is brooke hanson swimmer
still getting through bridgeman's up to here with it
Wish I could draw life without reference

Civardi Studies
Pichuerca - Thanks for the kind comments.
adevejian - Thank you. I am working on my anatomy in order that my imaginative work packs more punch and gets closer to my life studies.
Icey - I am glad you like them. I actually got the rib reference from an anatomy thread here that had a link to another site. Can't remember where the thread was though. If you really need and can't find a decent ref, pm me and I will email it to you.
Here are my recent surface anatomy studies from Civardi.
