Hello man, you're keeping up a very nice sketchbook . It's obvious u know your anatomy, perspective and have some great designs. What I think it would be very beneficial for u (and for me too ) it would be some more material studies and maybe analizing the levels on succesful photos or paintings u like. Also some sharper edge here and there for better focus but keeping ur nice style and looseness( as u have in the dumb monster guy and others).
So great job so far and keep on working on it!

Hahaha - I totally would except I imagine it would take a long time to pee (ei. take off the multi-layer pants XD)
Those eye studies are awesome! Do you work on greyscale first then colorize in photoshop?

@Cabbage Caterpillar - Yea, greyscale, little multiply layer, colour layer, then overlay.... then solid paint. I really should learn to paint with solid paint

@Callergi - Thanks for looking man, yea, my materials suck, I keep meaning to do more ref studies..... speaking of which, here's some metal studies : )

lol jk, all this new stuff is rad. AND YES environments! You seem to have a great eye and love of design and I think it translates well into environmental aesthetic too, those thumbnails in #151 look like they could be amazing. I really really want to invest some energy into improving my environments too. Was thinking of going out and shooting some photos of my own (since i live in the mountains) for reference. I still have this deep idealistic stigma about using photo ref, but its coming to a point where my brain just flounders with natural landscapes, so much subtlety I just can't use without better understanding and observing it all, more closely.

Anyway, looking forward to some majestic environments!

Wretched - well I'm jealous, you live near some cool looking stuff.. certainly go and get pictures, there's no shame in ref, it's essential, you can't hurt your work by knowing too much about how reality looks : )

Nice Gorillas on that last post. I've always had a hard time doing the underneath structure/form for animals, but looks like you are just nailing it!
That graphic design thingy reminds me of Japanese ink illustration. Very interesting to look at.
    Keep up the awesome work!!

@Cabbage Caterpillar - thanks again : ) animals / peoples / mechs , I guess everything is essentially made out of the same basic shapes, to a more a less complex extent, a person with few masses shifted around soon turns into another primate after a while : )

You have really wonderful studies, and some really nice ideas.

What I find is that some pieces are a bit hard to read. Specially with the big armours/robots/ dreadnoughts...

Eager to see what comes next (:
