Hey guys!
I'm Zach and I'm a student learning to draw and become and illustrator. I've been creeping around on the forums for the last few months and after the Crimson Daggers' Deathline challenge I decided it was about time I started a sketchbook here!
So yeah, my goals for this year for the Deathline challenge ( http://networkedblogs.com/po65x for those unsure of what I'm talking about) are:
1) To anti-chubbify myself. I, like many others with similar goals, feel like I could become more motivated if I became more active. And, well, there's this really cool sweater I would love to be able to fit into again.
2) To build up strong daily art related habits, like doing studies, challenging myself, and just flat out painting more. I feel like at the moment I don't give it enough practice and time to be worthy of the title "artist".
3) To become less of a people pleaser. Not to sound like whatever or anything, but I'm pretty polite in public. Lately there have been people that are now hanging around me a bit more and think I'm their next best friend, which, not to sound like a douche, is not my intention. Not that I don't like friends. There are just some people that won't leave me alone that really should, haha.
To work on it, this month I intended to: work on studies daily for at least an hour, walk three miles daily and start to watch what I eat, and ignore certain people like the plague. So far day one has gone off well. Studied, walked, and spoke to a few people less. Day one of 365, check.
But anyway, here's the fun stuff. Studies and sketches from the last few days. Well, mostly studies this go round.

Landscape thumbnails!
Apple study!
Shiny object study!
Fun stuff! Thank's Fudgeloaf and Ven_S for convincing me to finally start a sketchbook!
