Nice image! I like the textures and colors. The bottom edge of the axe gets a bit lost against the background. Also, even though he's a character, it's a sorta boring composition with him static in the center. There's a lot of empty space on all sides. Just food for thought.
It's very hard to read the forms - what's coming forward? what's receding? The muzzle, armor - a lot of the image is very flat.
thanks, man
Hi tigas
I'm liking this concept , but for the large hump, the arrows in it and the axe.
I'm thinking move the head up so the hump is not as dominant or reduce the hump, get rid of the arrows. Reduce the axe size a little and rotate the blade (leading edge) towards the viewer and give it a more 3d feel.

He seems to be taking a surprisingly wide stance given his build. I suspect his closer foot/leg is a bit too far forward.

Are those old wounds with the arrows, or fresh? If fresh, maybe some blood?
Other than that, my crits are the same as those already given. The only thing that really jumped out at me was the ax fading into the background though. Cool concept though, I really dig it.
Oh yeah, are his horns supposed to be arcing in two different directions? Just a thought. What are you using for ref?
