    Tried 30 sec drawing at "Pose Maniacs"...I did a crappy work, but it was still fun to do it...I might say that I saw a lot weird poses.

    Also I'm uploading an old portrait drawing that I did in photoshop...but still I haven't drawed in photoshop after this portrait project. I think it's more important to learn the basics in a more traditional way before I'm ready to go digital. :/

    Any tips or critics are welcome! :3

    I'm disappointed on my self, spend the most of the time today on doing nothing...hate when it happens. ;_;

    Just some fast studies before sleep, it looks awful but it's at last something. :/

    The shading failed because I mess it up with a b6 pencil : /

    Hey man welcome to ca!
    I would play with your scanner settings a bit to be less harsh on the image, though I pretty much gave up on my scanner years ago. Also you should re size your images, 640 is a good width for most message board format postings. Your color studies seem pretty good, do some more!

    'Lo there. Nice stuff you got so far, mate. Though the scanner definitely ruines those lines.
    Any chance of you drawing with bolder lines? Perhaps that might help the clarity. xD

    Anyways, like the digital study in post two, definitely keep them up.
    Take a look? - Sketchbook -

    Also, why not check these guys too?

    I think you should try to do some more focused studies - like the anatomy/skeleton ones, or the head models. But decide what you want to practice, look up some references/books and then stick to it for a while - I think that might be more effective in the end than mixing up face practice with building perspective and random eyes.

    To the digital lady: Don't be afraid to mix some "strange" colors under your skintones, like a bit green or blue, especially for highlighting, skin is much more than.. just skintones! (In the color experiment a few posts earlier you did it right!)

    The skeleton study is pretty cool btw

    Thanks, I agree. It's better to focus on just one thing. I will work on it. : )

    Did some skull studies this week, but to little to improve. I Must really learn to use my time on the wise way.

    Not so much on this update but here's some doodles that I made to try out my new digital sketching program for my laptop. It was perfect for me: a few tools, easy to learn and great navigation. : ]

    Did some bridgman-study before I did this and I think it made it more easy to understand and I did spent like half time if I have to compare with the first drawing. I will continue to study some more bridgman stuff tomorrow. The refs comes from "egon1918"-DV.
