How do i start to train to get better at environments? I have never really done that before how should I start. Anything thing to point me in the right direction will be fine. And teh weather is FANTASTIC where i am near the equator.
Do a lot of work and your work will be as good as your ambitions.

Thanks everyone, it's much appreciated and motivating !

@Eternal Apprentice, I belive the best way in my opinion to get better at environments is :

-Do studies. Copy photos, copy things from real life, but in a way to understand how things work. Why is this light bouncing there ? How does Haze work ? How colors change with materials in environments ?

-Observe a lot of artworks from environment concept artists. And again, try to understand what they do, why they do it, and how they achieve it. Concept art is basically giving illusions of reality and 3D, and a 2D medium. It's important to understand how to interpret reality with your own techniques.

-Finally, again, observe what surrounds you and analyze it. I think the key word here is observing. Whatever you do, analyze and try understanding how things work, then it'll be just like a second nature and you won't have to think about a lot of things, and just paint.
Also, I suggest working a bit with thumbnails, black and white or with colors, and not get into details too fast. Maybe focus on the mood, and main setting of an environment at first, and then add more and more detail when you see that everything works together. Adding details on a base that isn't solid, just won't do it
    Hope that helps !

Here's something I'm working on, please feel free to give me some critiques/ feedback !

That final piece looks great. I really like the rendering on the main structure and the overall color palette and sense of atmosphere is very nice.
I know this is the final and you probably do not want to do anything else to it, but the one thing i might change is the overlayed image in the upper left of the piece; I feel like it needs to be rendered into a little more as the lighting on it doesn't match the rest of the lighting in the piece. Most of all it just looks like there wasn't enough attention spent integrating the photo overlay with the rest of the piece. It looks very photo-y.

But yeah other than that, that last piece looks awesome. Your sketchbook is really great. It makes me want to do more scifi environments.

    Cheers'
