Today's practice is some different faces in profile. I tend to draw everyone the same, so I should work on variation, different shapes, and expressions.![]()
This is a piece I am currently working on, hopefully as a portfolio piece. Any critique or suggestions in the early phases of this are loved and appreciated. :3
wish i had something to help you with but your sketches and studies are just beautiful! youve inspired me to do a few of my own!

I like this format better, it conveys a greater sense of distance between the travelers and that castle. Looking forward to seeing where you take it next!
Amazing stuff i really like the horse studies and the pencil face stuff. But most of all i like your digital artworks especially your last one and the texture studies. I am not as good as you are but i think i might help if i post a small critique on your last piece: everything looks really good but the right side of the painting looks somehow empty to me. The viewers attention is too much to the left. But maybe that's just me... Oh and i am really sorry if it's not finished yet. Dont take my critique as a professional one, instead take it as opinion.
Thank you for the feedbackivan4oto, I'll see what I can do about adding detail to the second half of the painting, thanks!
I have a lot of things in progress, and nothing finished yet.. But the sketches are a lot of fun. Will post here once I get to a scanner.
Here's a sketch I'm working on for fun, and a centaur girl.

I tend to draw my faces the same as well, I found loomis books on drawing the head useful. Had theory and different shapes
so I was able to get more ideas from there. Other than that, I like your fantasy characters. Keep doing a fine job in here!![]()
Thanks! I'll have to get my hands on some more Loomis books. I have just gotten "Creative Illustration" which is amazing.

Getting back into the swing of things. I haven't posted in a while, but I've still been drawing. A color/painting study from outside, and three master studies from the landscape paintings of George Inness. The first two are done in gouache, and the last one is digital.
