Thanks. Here's anuddah fo' yo' bruddah.
I really like the line work! can't wait to see more!
Boop.
T'was done for a drawing jam thingy.
Your lines are really sharp! a very good way to start a sketchbook
And the coloring is pretty neat too
No critique from me hehe
ps: I like that Sups is channeling his inner Gambit
Thanks e-nat.
Yep! Linework is definitely my forte. Not much of a colorist though.
I love Gambit, and so does my Superman. In a non-gay way of course...
HOLY JESUS THIS WAS CHALLENGING.
Not difficult. Challenging.
Warming down for the night.
More speed practice.
For a drawing jam at cghub.
nice start. i see you have worked on your finishing and you have some nice - composite images - however you seem to be jumping the gun.
some of your figures anatomy (especially when receding in perspective) are a little off. the main problem i have is with super man - his right (our left) limbs are much smaller, which makes him look as if hes leaning away - despite hes parallel pith the picture frame. also his knee is bent so its side on which wouldnt be possible without it being dislocated.
you might want to revise how the arms attatch to the torso - as now he looks a bit of a mr potatohead. see how much higher the pectoral muscle is and make sure the the bicep joins under the pec (which you do have-however it just looks like a muscly mess.)
the other image with the two on a horse is quite nice, you definatly are aware overall - just a few extra little attentions to detail will show, also hyper extending the back of a character like superman will make him look much more powerfull.
with more figure drawing and anatomy youll be doing well.
keep it up.
Thanks. I didn't notice that before about the Superman pic. I'll just have to improve.
Here is just a quick t shirt design doodle done for a contest.
Hey, interesting work. It's always nice to see someone with a consistent and unique style. As far as I can tell, your anatomy is quite good. One or two things bother me: the dancing (?) guy in the first post has his pec major insert on the humerus from either side of the biceps (the same thing dog-faced claimed was going on with superman). Also, the dude on the horse kinda looks like he has two ligaments coming off of his patella where there should be one like the girl. Both minor issues. Overall I'm really liking your stuff. You're much better than I am at defining forms without shading. I don't even dare try =/
Makes me roll my eyes though when an artist claims that their stuff is "awful" when it's clearly quite good and he/she likely knows it.
Post 10 is my favorite image.
Neat art you have here![]()
Thanks ya'll for the crits and comments. Here's a quick little experiment I did today.
It is none other than FONZO! the Fearless House Fly!
it's true what they've point out about your anatomy but it still looks cool because of the clear stylishness of your work..keep it up![]()
Quite possibly the manliest thing I have ever drawn.
Done for a drawing jam.
Wow these lines are delicious. You are some kind of pen tool wizard. I especially like how the lines are a little thicker for the outline, nice touch. Really great style too!
Slow day today.
Just a non referenced self portrait and some "cel shade" experimenting.
Interesting style, very crisp and clean.
Do you start your sketches super clean or do you clean them up a bunch in post?
Do you by any chance trace?
Well, on the first layer I sketch out the overall layout, composition, etc. It's usually super messy and super quick.
THEN I do another quick, but cleaner and more organized sketch over that, basically just to lay down all the important details and so on.
AND THEN I do a nice, smooth, final lineart over that. That's where I add in line weights, some black areas, and so on.
After that I just get rid of the sketchy layers and add in all the colors and effects.
I seem to have acquired an art block. Any tips on how to smooth the ride over this little hump?
This is how I feel.
Climbing ever higher, and now I've climbed so high that I can neither see the mountains peak or base, just wonderin' what to do.
Freakin' art block...
ALMOST past this art block, me thinks.
Here's a quick warm up doodle I did, and also a slight precursor to a monster of a pic I'm currently working.
Also because Midna is sexy and DAT ASS requires more attention...
I'm beginning to consider going for a more cartoony style. Seems to fit me better.
Just tryin' something new.
What can I say? I'm a goofy, cartoony dude at heart.
Still trying some things out.
Even more experimenting.
MAKE THE VOICES STOP!!
