Hey, thanks. Do you have any tips on how to go from greyscale to color in paintings. I saw you had a few greyscales in you gallery and some where also with color.

Some nice sketches. It looks like there's some Skottie Young influence in those.

Thanks Never heard of Skottie Young though, maybe you can link me cus all I found was Marvel Covers of some Skottie and I doubt that's the guy you meant. I don't see any resemblence to the Marvel Style in my style.

    Cheers!

Oops. Wrong call, I guess. Take a look at the links, though. I think you'll like his work. I can especially recommend his OZ series. The last two links show some sample pages from the OZ comics.

Haha thanks man, I was just about to drop to the bed myself. What I can tip about if you have a problem with getting the character out of the character if you're following me, is to try to choose a character that's in a certain mood, and forget about the anatomy and all that shit, doesn't matter if you can nail the feeling. Try to get yourself to feel the same thing as the character you want to draw. Don't draw a line until you have the feeling inside you and things will happen. That's what I go for atleast.

I'll post more since someone's asking!

    Cheers

Really awesome work Emil! Absolutely love your gesture and character in some of these.
I can tell you are getting to know this guy well just from these sketches. He feels like he has a quite well defined character.

Keep up the good work dude, Gonna love seeing some more of this!

I can only see the last picture on the first post (because my school uses proxies, really hard to view pictures) But just that one makes me giggle. It's really awesome, his facial expression is priceless.

Haha! I had your nationality at 'Conny'!

For me humor and bodylanguage has always gone first. Anatomy is something to be played with not ruled by.

The creep sure will keep coming!

Wow I really like your line drawings! Lots of personality in them.
Concerning your greyscale digi painting, I think that you went a bit overboard with the rendering of flesh. Flesh and clothing have different local value, and flesh is usually limited in its value range.

i like the way you draw trees n shit, it's really nice. if anything you could work a little bit on your shading and anatomy is a little wonky here and there even for a distorted style

Nice work. I especially like the positions and expressions. On the pic with the man and the houses, i think the perspective and position of the man is a little bit wrong.
